It could be a sign of a team that struggles in the clutch, but it's much more likely bad luck over a small sample size. Baseball is the sport that by far has the biggest luck factor.

If you look back at May and June, you will see that the Phillies won a number of 1-run games.

I certainly agree that luck plays a key role in winning. Their stupid base running and striking out have nothing to do with luck. As an old timer I still have nightmares of 1964

I may be off on my judgement, but it looks like to me the Phillies are flaming out post all star game. Errors galore (ahem, Turner) and anemic bats. Wheelers getting shelled tonight too and his defense sucks.

Honestly another choke job by squad….another error from a usually reliable Turner. It is getting harder to tune in on this bunch. Phillies fan for many years thru thick and thin….but…this bunch really testing me.
