He’s really digging in and not entirely wrong - if page is a mover why is he a background character
The average for Dynamite this year is over 3K - and that's with them having booked numerous venues booked that physically can't even fit 3K without violating fire code regulations. So to say that over 3K is celebration worthy or that they are clawing to over 3K is just objectively devoid of truth. Both can be true. AEW attendance has ticked up a bit and ratings have increased since Omega won the title. It's good to see. At the same time, AEW and their fans claim they have the best roster ever assembled yet it's a celebration if weekly attendance is just north of 3,000. AEW is still successful and has done well since its inception but he's correct. They have everything they need to thrive and the audience has only shrunk. Streaming, national tv, a billionaire family, a large roster, etc. There's no reason why in N. America Raw can't do 12k and Dynamite 7k-9k. That's all he's saying and it's what I've said. Why is Raw, a supposedly terrible show, able to pull in 10k but Dynamite, this supposedly best show of the week, clawing to get 3k? And it's not the economy's fault and it's not because wrestling is niche. If fans can make fun of WWE's attendance woes and do an autopsy on that (fans priced out, boring creative, not creating enough new stars) then let the autopsy on AEW begin as to why Dynamite isn't averaging at least 5,000 fans right now.
The same reason that Nickelback sold way more albums than Dream Theater. Why is Raw, a supposedly terrible show, able to pull in 10k but Dynamite, this supposedly best show of the week, clawing to get 3k?
Herein lies the problem no matter how many rational arguments you make the sickos will tear you apart ironically which is why they can’t grow past when cm punk was there. They never really care to go over 1 million viewers as long as TK caters to them. Both can be true. AEW attendance has ticked up a bit and ratings have increased since Omega won the title. A product that caters to a niche audience in the same market as the product that tries to cater to the largest audience possible will never be as popular as the one that caters to the largest audience. Name the industry, the niche products ain't as popular as the "brand names" even if they may produce a subjecively superior product. The same reason that Nickelback sold way more albums than Dream Theater.
Commercial-ability does not equal quality.
Sometimes the more intricate something within a given industry is, the smaller the wide-range appeal. AEW, at its best, is not a competitor to the WWE for the largest slice of the market share pie. At its apex, it is an alternative for those who are less interested in a product akin to a superhero comic book in presentation.
WWE is not objectively wrong to enjoy. Neither is AEW. It’s simply two separate sub-genres.
I point this out to say — the WWE vs AEW stuff is nauseating from both sides. Just enjoy the wrestling that floats your boat most? Well, we can’t. We have to argue about which one is better, even though the two of us aren’t even asking for the same things out of our respective products. Why do we do it? To give the appearance of superiority. Superiority?? Wait, isn’t professional wrestling something of a social albatross and a niche as-is? Well, yes it is, but we gotta trim the herd even further by calling each other marks and arguing about how stupid one another are.
And why should I want something I like to change to something I don't like just because it may help it grow? That doesn't make any sense.Herein lies the problem no matter how many rational arguments you make the sickos will tear you apart ironically which is why they can’t grow past when cm punk was there. They never really care to go over 1 million viewers as long as TK caters to them.
Think he’s with Roman is what they advertised? No Brunson?
Longest finger injury in recorded history at this point.
Buddy, it's a discussion thread lol. It's okay if we occasionally knock one company or the another or ask questions. If posters wanna knock WWE's attendance, have at it. It's worthy of discussion and right now Summerfest looks pathetic by major PLE standards. What's also worthy of discussion is asking why AEW's tv isn't producing a higher attendance number. Yes, they're in smaller venues but if they weren't, their attendance would still be around 3000, maybe closer to 4000 if they were in a hotspot for a show. It's okay to expect a bit more from the number two company with all the advantages mentioned. If TNA were in AEW's spot, we'd be asking what's with the smaller crowds every week. If Dragon posts 10 anti-WWE things, you disappear. If I ask why can't they get 6000+ for a Dynamite in 2026, you show up with the AEW cape on lol. As far as the niche excuse Dragon likes, it's all wrestling. AEW isn't all that niche. They took indie legends and former WWE stars and occasionally pretend to do Attitude Era stuff with them. What's niche about constantly doing spots with a screwdriver? We saw stuff like that 30 years ago when wrestling was at its peak. The same reason that Nickelback sold way more albums than Dream Theater.

AEW should be doing even better than they are but something is holding them back from being bigger. It's not WWE fault and it's goofy to pretend AEW fans want a product that doesn't grow. It is not crazy to ask why isn't Dynamite, with that roster and national tv exposure and a big streaming platform, is not doing better attendance wise. The coddling of Uncle Tony and his business is just silly lol. I'm getting the upset finger wag for just asking why more people don't want to attend Dynamite.

You can’t hate on Aldis he’s great and you know it. He had a great match with Cody at all in years ago.Gunther went from retiring Goldberg, AJ Styles, and John Cena to eights months later likely having a match with a GM at SummerSlam lol.
Aldis aka Magnus should have been a bigger deal. World of talent. You can’t hate on Aldis he’s great and you know it. He had a great match with Cody at all in years ago.
