My second favorite major. Any major I can start watching at midnight and then roll through all day? My kind of week. Little work is getting done Th and F.

Give me your core four, your fade, and a couple longshots.

Core: Fitz, Clark, Henley. Rory
Fade: Scottie, ‘cause I’m still a Moran.
Longshots: Echavarria, Southgate, M Jordan

And a little thanks from me to you for your golf gambling insights:

Fleetwood, Rory, Scottie, Fitz
Long shot: Gotterup, Homa, MacIntyre. Is Lowry considered a longshot? Guy usually plays well at The Open.
Fade: Rahm, Cam Smith, Bryson (not really a bold prediction here given how he's fared in majors)

Too much chalk
Agree with Fitz
I don’t think Gotterup would be considered a long shot at this point

Watch out for Hovland, Morikawa and Hatton

Long shots- Rai, Harmon, woodland
Doesn’t favor bombers

Can’t wait. RB is awesome

Looking at the weather forecast it looks to be perfect conditions for the open. Warm and not that windy.

Could this be like the US Open at Shinnicock? I wonder if you get someone that goes low on Thursday and wins wire to wire,

I went in 2017. Underrated in the Open rota.

I added a little A. Fitz and Burns to my lineups this morning.

I think the winner will be someone that's never won a major before. Maybe not a complete unknown but a definite surprise, like when Harmon won.

I could watch Paige drive like that all day!

So far:
Rory top 10- (boosted) +143 ( I think he's finished in top 7 in 7 of last 10)
Clark to win +3300
Fleetwood and fitz both top 20 +240

Rory just drove the 414 yard par 4, 9th, to about 60 feet. 2 putt birdie. Suber leading @ -5, with a bunch of -3, 67's in the clubhouse...Morikawa @ -3 with 6 holes to play...

Edit: Suber in with the lead @ 65. Now Rory 3 putts from 20 feet on 10 to give back the birdie. Im and Brown with 66's...
Sorry bout the pepsi thread. I looked but didn't see yours. I forgot I was watching on DVR delay...

I get it , but don’t like it. I don’t think this happens if it wasn’t a featured player. They just accessed. He would’ve been better off taking the hazard probably

Well that’s always been my complaint about video - it’s only focused on the popular players. I think they should only use video if an issue is flagged by a player, competitor, or official at the time.

I'm just now getting back after running errands for the last hour and a half. What did Bryson do to get penalized for?

Golf Rule 8.1 prohibits players from taking actions that improve "Conditions Affecting the Stroke" (the ball's lie, the area of intended stance/swing, the line of play, or relief areas) to gain an advantage. Breaching this rule incurs the general penalty (2 strokes in stroke play, loss of hole in match play

Yep. You can’t do that. I don’t think it was intentional but it’s close enough to the swing path that I think you have to penalize him to protect the field.
Agreed on all points. We'll see how it affects the weekend. Bryson is catching this course with the perfect conditions for his mash and gash style. But to his credit, he's been great with the approach shots.

The other side of that coin is it's certainly cool to see a different test than the US Open with 6" thick rough.

Yes people forget BD is a world T10 because of his shatty play in this years majors. When he’s on, he’s gonna contend no matter who’s on top of leaderboard. Not a personal fav, but hope this doesn’t aftext his play the next 2 days

He’s playing btw. Still out hitting balls
