It was a pretty minor domestic squabble and she pretty clearly is a few marbles short. Why do these guys keep finding these crazy baby mamas.
Or why do the crazy baby mamas keep finding violent men? Maybe both?

You have no idea what happened. You don't know the character make up of the people involved. And neither do I.

Victim decides not to press charges?
Sounds like Nelson dropped all the charges...

I guess there was enough evidence to prove that his girlfriend took too long to get ready but in the end, he did not want to pursue chargers.

Sounds like she knew they were going to be leaving at 7pm for the last two days but that she still could not figure out how to be on time.

He was the one arrested and charged,to my knowledge she wasn’t charged how can he drop charges?

What’s the IWCC timeline here?

Did both James Franklin and Campbell (each far better than Rhule in every facet of running a program) pass on this slow guy?

Or just Franklin?

Sam M thinks he was brought in to compete with Ives for short yardage back. Nelson's status is up in the air. Mozee is still learning the psn and may be more of a third down back. Rule has shown well in practice since joining the roster. The talent in the room is young, but will it emerge this season?

They’ve printed the police report. She had a couple of scratches supposedly from him tearing her swimming suit. It’s not like her face was bruised and swollen from him whacking her. She got pissed and called the cops not stopping to think how that might affect the child support. He’s an idiot. She’s a money grubbing baby mamma. Baby #3 on the way. Yikes.

Nelson has yet to prove he can follow blocks and find rhythm. Nelson has proven time and time again, if he can get into space he can do well, but this isn’t high school. Gotta learn to run at all 5 gears, not just full throttle. Kids is always to far infront of his pull blocker to allow for a play to develop. Ever watch EJ position when a guard pulls? It’s a thing of beauty. With Ives and Nelson, you can see the play isn’t going anyway right away. This is why they weren’t offered out of HS by most. It’s basically premature ejactualtion really. Go back and watch the bowl game. You see the big run but that was a quick hole, not a developing play

I’m in favor of any dude who can walk into that room and take control of the job. Thankfully, we had Emmett. The guys behind him are pretty underwhelming so far

I love it when you can't compose a legitimate response and resort to insults.

It's clear to everyone that I own your azz.
Wait, I have been asking you for a legit response for like a month!

Also, I love that you admitted that the other teams in the conference are in fact scared of NU getting good. I appreciate that hint of honesty coming out.

When was the last significant game that iowa played in? Remember, you brought it up, not me.

So you are criticizing the police then? Not me. Thin Blue Line all the way. Unlike you and I they interviewed everyone and knew the situation. My guess was the woman dropped the charges and I was right. And yes, she's worried about money. If Nelson loses his NIL, the money runs dry. And Nelson should lose his NIL whether she presses charges or not. I trust the police's judgement.

Nope. The police are forced to separate them by policy and usually it’s the dude who gets to spend the night in jail no matter what the circumstances. Not the cops fault. Hopefully he learned a tough lesson. From what I’ve seen printed and reported, there should be no need for a suspension. Make him complete some counseling. The public humiliation he’s gone through is probably enough to keep him from doing it again.

Maybe Florida is different. But the police saw probable cause to arrest him. And charges were pressed. But when you have two idiots involved in a domestic situation and one of them is making a lot of money, we see this all of the time. Stories change. The truth changes. As for Nelson, under the radar, I think this kid has been in trouble on the team before. He's missed a game or two. Don't know why. Anyway, I don't think Nelson is the next Nick Chubb. And while it would be so on script (with 2010/2020s NU football) to keep a mediocre player with questionable character on the team because we "need" him. I wish they would set an example and cut his NIL or remove him from the team.

He’s going to be dead broke exactly one year from now, isn’t he?

I bet. A lot of these kids are gonna blow through all of their money before they turn 30. They are clueless.
I would guess that schools are starting to hire accountants/finance guys to help these kids out. Now, if they listen, that is a different story. I am sure I would not have at that age.

My mind goes to AJ Ferrari driving a Corvette in Western Nebraska, and then finding himself behind bars for various offenses committed against society. I hope most of these kids can rise above it.

The nice thing about money is that you can arrive at your problems in style.

Is that your justification for being a Husker fan?

Cause the national media seems to view Nebraska football that way.
At least they view us. Do they even know what town you play in?

No doubt you own some man’s *** but most likely another Hawkeye because huskers don’t roll that way.

Charges were never filed. It’s like Mickey Joseph the cops saw enough physical evidence The torn swimsuit and scratches to haul him to the clink that night. But as @Tim Verghese reported charges won’t be filed. Do that means he was never charged for anything. The DA probably reviewed the evidence and interviewed the chick and if was she was reluctant at all ( probably was ) since either are Florida residents he wasn’t going to to waste the counties money.
