Any thoughts on a permanent time ?

This was so stupid and farmers hated it...so now all farmers will finally be happy and no longer complain!
I prefer standard time! But as long as we aren’t changing clocks forward in the spring and backwards in the fall I’m good with it
Agree ...that spring ahead feels like it takes weeks to adjust to
I thought they created daylight savings for the farmers? More daylight to work (aka sit back to collect their subsidy checks and complain).
I thought so as well! But I don't think that is the case...it just happens to be THE ONE TIME where farmers were called out for bitching...when it was not actually them bitching.
Fireman will probably try to come up with some "No fires on Sunday" law so they can get even more time off from watching building sprinkler systems do the job that they are supposed to be doing.
Nah. Farmers can get their hours in no matter what the clock says. DST was for school kids who are tied to school times and adults wanted more daylight in the morning for school kids during late Fall and winter.
My dad who was a dairy farmer hated the time change with a passion, it took the cows a week or better to adjust. Dad would say daylight saving time was made for the Drs and lawyers so they could play golf longer in the summer time
Wow ...I never took the animals internal clocks being messed up into account
The animals in modern times havent really been affected ---The larger animals like cattle and horses and hogs can only read analog time and now everything is digital--they are out of their element
Please let this happen. No reason for it that I can think of in modern times. Just a beating to adjust a couple times a year and that's about all that comes from it.
Well if it passes I hope my car clock is on the right time or it will be an hour off forever now and not just for 7 months !
Agree. The economist in me shudders at the thought of how many people get hurt falling from a ladder to change the clocks. Especially my wife. I have a physical condition that prevents me doing it.

How many kids...HOW MANY KIDS...over the years have been yelled at by their parents...all because their parents did not know how to change the clock on the VCR???

Leave it alone. Chad and Karen have the same amount of time sitting in their office no matter what. Early sunrises are much more preferable than the later sunsets

Totally agree, It’s the farmers that need the extra day light in the early morning hours.
Ah, but the politicians love their low hanging fruit. Now they can add this to their list of accomplishments for their political ads. And by the way, according to a commercial that I've seen 10,000 times, Pete Rickets has come out against boys playing against girls in sports. Way to go Pete. Way to tackle those tough ones. It's such a common problem!
Milk production schedule gets out of whack I'm assuming. Animals don't know how to just suck it up and adjust. They're on a schedule that gets disrupted. I've never had dairy cows, but I've heard of other animals that get their eating all out of whack when the time changes.
Maybe some guys have regular jobs to get to. Otherwise farmers can always gradually adjust their schedule.
States have been having this debate for years but can’t pull the trigger. I think congress is just making this move to basically get states to **** or get off the pot.
If you live in the northern part of the country, you love daylight saving. Our days are so short in the winter that extra hour in the afternoon would be nice.
