It seems highly unlikely he’ll do that, given that he hasn’t been the NBA commissioner for about 12 years and hasn’t been alive for about 6 years.

It’s going to be interesting to see if the league has the balls to do anything tomorrow. AT is a dirty player. When she tore the **** out of Phee’s ankle you could at least make an argument that she was going for a steal.
This was not a “basketball play”. There is no defense for what she did. No logical explanation. You can’t argue that she was going for the ball because the ball wasn’t there. You can’t argue that she was bracing for a fall because that’s not how humans fall. Nobody balls their hand into a fist to break a fall. It’s a natural instinctive reflex for humans to fall with an open hand.
What Thomas did was a choice. She made a decision to get some shots in on Clark while she was in a prone position. Knee to the groin. Fist to the throat. And then capped off with a deliberate step-over.
None of it was a “basketball play”. None of it is defensible. None of it should be tolerated. This league has willfully put itself in danger of going back to the days of giving away tickets and hoping that the 4000 people who show up spend a lot of money at the concession stand.

As long as this kind of stuff continues to happen, the league is a joke. If the players/coaches/refs can’t take it seriously, why should anyone else
Poorly run businesses never realize or accept that they’re a poorly run business regardless of what others say about them….which is why so many go out of business. The WNBA would have been out of business many years ago if it wasn’t a welfare league being supported by the NBA.
