Just had a bad feeling it would end up costing a run or two. I had no idea it would turn into a complete inferno inning, tho.

Stop. He wasn’t locked in and took his sweet time to get loaded up. Massive mistake that could cost us and one you can’t make when you get to the CWS
Really frustrating that Cooper was so lazy with that throw. Shouldn’t be in this position.

Nah, he misjudged Guzman's speed and took his time. He played it like Paulson was running not one of the fastest guys in the CWS.
You’ve clearly not played SS in college. He played it normally and it was a “review” safe. Again, he couldn’t have charged it moving to his left. And trying to set his feet to wind up, would’ve taken the time that the extra velocity would’ve made up.
If it gets us a win he has 2 days to recover. He’s thrown 40 pitches this week, it’s normal work.
Considering he's only thrown 9 pitches on Sunday and around 30ish last Friday, that's okay. Win this game and he can rest until Saturday.
