I'm in Destin with my wife, daughter and her husband with my grandson, and my son and his girlfriend. Today at the beach I had my floppy UK beach hat on and saw 4 people wearin UK gear. We all said "Go Cats" as we passed each other.

I was in Destin last fall and the same thing happened to me, that’s what we said. Pretty cool!
No I think it's more like with some of these people, 90% of their wardrobe is UK apparel. It not called the Redneck Riviera for nothing

As a completely biased, absurdly ridiculous UK fan this is 100% BS. No chance Duke is a bigger brand. No stats to back it up, just know every time I fly into Atlanta or any other major airport I always run into someone rocking a UK hat, tshirt, etc.
Also I'll be in gulfside Florida next week close to the Destin area myself rocking UK gear. Go Cats!!!!
I was in Alaska last year and had my Kentucky shirt on in the Yukon and had several "Go Big Blue" comments at various areas. I wish recruits understood that more when it comes to UL vs Kentucky. UL I am sure have fans in the town and Kentucky has fans nationwide. Big difference for your following.

We’re in Gulf Shores Alabama and have met a dozen Cat fans, I had some of my Car gear on and Cat fans don’t hesitate to introduce themselves! Amazing, GBB!

I've never been, but I know a lot of people that regularly go to Destin. They've told me you see a lot of Kentucky license plates there.
I think it is north, so the drive to get to a nice beach there is shorter than most beach spots in Florida. I think that is a factor.
I hope to visit Destin sometime.
Speaking of the KENTUCKY WILDCATS on the ROAD ... if you ever go to Osaka, Japan ... check this place out !! It's pretty incredible !!!

Me and Elon Space X’ed to the moon last week and went to the penthouse suites and the bellboy had a UK hat on and face painted blue.
I was on a cruise to Jamaica and Grand Cayman about a month ago and on the cruise I had a few people come up to me and start shooting the **** because of my UK gear. I wear it loud and proud everywhere I go.
A year ago when we were in Vegas , Grand Canyon, Lake Tahoe , Los Angeles, and San Diego I was shooting the **** with all kinds of UK fans throughout that trip. We the BBN are EVERYWHERE!!!!!!

Destin is like Louisville south. There are hundreds of Jefferson County license plates during spring break.

Close drive for many Kentuckians (10 hours or less), so this happens a lot. Lots of people from this state vacation in the panhandle. We go every year and the same has always happened to me… no matter the time of year!
When I was in Columbus for the USA soccer game against Mexico, one of the Mexican fans was wearing Kentucky gear.
We were in Destin the first week of June.Stayed at the Henderson Resort. The waves were rough and the rip current was strong every day.
We’ve rented a house on Sunfish Street about 3 different times on vacations. We really like it. I tell my wife and kids that if I ever strike it rich I will try to buy it.
When I toured Congo, a lot of the impoverished folks had on old threadbare "40-0" shirts from 2015

You don’t have to drive anywhere. Destin has beautiful beaches.
Always nice to see UK behind enemy lines. Seen a older man I would say close to 90 the other day at the gas station. He had a UK hat on. I told him I like that hat and his words were "you can't hardly beat em"
