I coach high school baseball in Florida.

If you don’t think a head coach has the ability to make a difference in a 3 game series, you are crazy.

Our approach today has been awful, and it’s 100% on the staff.

USC has used 1 pitcher for damn near 50% of the innings played in this series.

this is type of comment from a "fan" that is so damed infuriating ... STFU

It’s no surprise he didn’t come back after the comeback. That’s his MO from the basketball board. He’ll be back the next time we’re losing.

Hilarious that he thinks coaching high school baseball in Florida (if he even does that) is in the same ballpark to what Coach Forbes and his staff do when it comes to preparation.

Our pitching the last two days was pretty incredible. The entirety of USC run production was 2 solo shots and a balk. Meanwhile, we were stranding runners left and right but DeCaro, Glauber and company kept it close enough for the offense to finally break through when it mattered most.

UGA moved slightly ahead of UNC this afternoon at +250. Texas is close behind.
Granted I’ve only watched every game of the post season and no regular season games but I just don’t see it. Glad they won and made it to Omaha but they just can’t seem to manufacture runs with runners in scoring position (for the most part. Obviously they did in the 9th) The other teams going to Omaha seem to be able to score in bunches. For everyone that’s watched all year are we capable of doing this?

Yes, the resiliency you saw today has been there all season.

Yes we are very capable of scoring runs in bunches. It won’t be a lot of in your face power. But we create a lot of opportunities through walks, HPB, and solid hitting

You could see this all weekend with any opportunities we had with RISP. Was a crazy statistical anomaly that we hit as poorly as we did in those opportunities. We led the ACC in opportunities with RISP. So our offense is just a “different” small ballish (but not really). We also wear pitchers down and work counts really well typically, today was not a great showing of that but you saw that early Friday m

The approach at the plate today was puzzling. You had a pitcher who had pitched a ton of innings and we were first pitch swinging most of the time. It was easy to be pessimistic. They could not figure out the guy and had not had clutch hitting for the majority of the regional. I started watching golf and would check back fully expecting to see USC up by 4 or 5. I started watching again in the 8th. That was one of the best clutch two inning stretch ever. GDTBATH.

Assuming Texas makes it, they have to be the scariest team on the other side, right? I think UGA is good, but they also benefit from playing in a small park.

I snagged a couple tickets last minute on Seat Geek and drove up from CLT. Fun crowd and great atmosphere. Was really cool that even though we were down you had people trying to pump up the kids. After the 6th inning, I told my buddy, we’re moving seats and going to stand up there at the back of the section. Unbuttoned the jersey and the whole bit to get some luck going.

I was so happy for Walker to get another chance after what happened the other game. Then you had Carter come up there and just give a huge AB. Once we got that run in the 8th to only be down 1, I said, we’re winning this thing and it played out. I’ll never be able to describe that feeling in words on a message board.

After the trophy presentation and the Alma mater I was walking out and said man, I don’t know whether to cry or run 3 miles!!
