I went for a drive after GG’s groundout isn’t he 8th and only listened to the radio. I was distraught. When we tied it up I knew I couldn’t come home until it was over.

Not a routine play, but he slowed up and slid and missed the ball by a couple of feet. If he doesn't slide, he has a chance to make that.
Our pitching the last two days was pretty incredible. The entirety of USC run production was 2 solo shots and a balk. Meanwhile, we were stranding runners left and right but DeCaro, Glauber and company kept it close enough for the offense to finally break through when it mattered most.
The CF played the entire series until 7th or 8th inning (when they made all the defensive subs) at 3rd. Didn't understand that move when their coach did it and really dont now (but not complaining). He for sure didnt look comfortable.
The guy they moved to CF almost always closes the game out there. Same thing happened in. College Station and he was amazing out there
He also didn't run a direct route to the ball. He ran more toward the fence first then slowed down and rounded of his route into the alley before sliding
Most would not understand that was French stepping up when given the chance. More credit goes to Forbes IMO. KNEW Rom just wasn’t getting it done. Lazy managers would have left him in and hoped for something.
I am already re-watching the last inning.

This is what it had to be and meant to be since the fall. We knew the pitching was elite. We hoped the O would be just good enough. Anytime you get to Omaha, it was good enough!
They’ll probably replay it on ACC network at some point. They’ve been replaying Carolina’s games from the regional, and they’ll probably want to celebrating getting a team in Omaha
Being a top 8 team is never a bad thing. Hopefully this makes Scar look for other options too

This was one of the best UNC sporting events I’ve attended. The baseball team and the supporters who are there every weekend are so special and make for such a fun time at the Bosh. This win means so much to so many who were there for last year’s ending.
