He was in shallow because he had to be able to throw French out on a single. Was a long run on ball tailing away from him
All the credit to the team for never giving in. Man it looked bleak but they did what they had to do (get Johnson out of the game). After that, it was on.

I think that they gave the Capital One performance of the game away a half-inning too early.

What a gutsy group! So glad they don't give up as easily as a few fans sometimes do. To win this series against a really good team when we struggled mightily with RISP is just unreal. Hull came through when it mattered most. Omaha here we come! I have my room booked. Go Heels!
I know it’s been a rough series on offense but this was a whole team win! Guys that had been struggling came up big when it mattered most. I like our chances in Omaha if we can get the bats to loosen up and just hit. We got the pitching to do it. Proud of this team. Certainly proved me wrong! GO HEELS

We’ve been to 12 Supers and 9 CWS in 20 tournaments. You don’t do that without winning a ton of big games and coming through in a bunch of big moments.
We haven’t won the biggest one yet. But we still have a chance this year. It’s going to happen one day. Why not now?
