Glad to see the same lineup, no real reason to switch it up, we got a billion guys on, and a million in scoring position yesterday so just need them to be a little better situationally
Completely disagree. Don’t short leash a guy when the absolute beast of the rotation is fresh and ready to roll.
Trajekt is the pitching/batting practice system where you can hit off of any pitcher and face their exact arsenal of pitches while displaying them with their release on the screen. It’s crazy cool, and very effective.
Got to tour the facility where they have it (I'm a local high school coach). It's so cool. Also super realistic.
I certainly didn’t say he wouldn’t - it’s just that’s not been his role most of the year. And the previous post said something about “200 pitches to use”. My point is that’s only true if he goes long at the start. Just an observation on my part. Not doubting Globe.
I think our pitching will get the job done. What I want to see more than anything else is improved hitting with RISP.
I mean, yeah - this is critical. Winning yesterday with what we did with RISP (and particularly bases loaded) is NOT sustainable.

Crazy note I didn’t realize till ESPN showed it. UNC is 24-0 when Glauber throws a pitch in the game
Don’t even know why Boaz would have even been considered. 7+ ERA which is worst on the team.
I originally was in favor of starting Boaz. It I will say that if the leash was going to be as short as everyone felt it needed to be, then it would have to have impacted Folger from the start. Looking over your shoulder at the bullpen as soon as a runner reaches second base is not a recipe for success. Could he have done it and done well? Sure. But in what would have been a high-pressure situation already…everyone in the stadium (including yourself) knowing that you step on the mound in top of 1st with no wiggle room is a tough, tough scenario.
Let’s start off fast. Globe let’s have a magical day. Offense time to scrap it up and break loose.

I think the thinking is that he’s been our day 3 starter all year and we’ve done pretty well as a team… and Globe has generally come out of the pen, even when he’s used early / long. So maybe stick with that. But your points about looking over your shoulder are valid. Wouldn’t be a great spot for him to be in. And he could always come in himself from the pen if needed.
