Glad to see the same lineup, no real reason to switch it up, we got a billion guys on, and a million in scoring position yesterday so just need them to be a little better situationallyUNC:

Glauber
This in a nutshellYall “status quo” folks really want to bet our season on 7+ ERA Boaz who has been barreled up game after game this year…..
Completely disagree. Don’t short leash a guy when the absolute beast of the rotation is fresh and ready to roll.Yeah. Don’t understand this one. Has Glauber started a game ever? Just start Boaz with a short leash. Getting cute here
What makes you think he wont? Kid is an absolute StudThat’s assuming Globe pitches effectively in the starter role.
Trajekt is the pitching/batting practice system where you can hit off of any pitcher and face their exact arsenal of pitches while displaying them with their release on the screen. It’s crazy cool, and very effective.I’m with you….whatever Trajekt means…
Good point! When you look at their road and quality opponent splits they are way less daunting. They play in a VERY defense ballpark at home
Got to tour the facility where they have it (I'm a local high school coach). It's so cool. Also super realistic.Trajekt is the pitching/batting practice system where you can hit off of any pitcher and face their exact arsenal of pitches while displaying them with their release on the screen. It’s crazy cool, and very effective.
I certainly didn’t say he wouldn’t - it’s just that’s not been his role most of the year. And the previous post said something about “200 pitches to use”. My point is that’s only true if he goes long at the start. Just an observation on my part. Not doubting Globe. What makes you think he wont? Kid is an absolute Stud
I mean, yeah - this is critical. Winning yesterday with what we did with RISP (and particularly bases loaded) is NOT sustainable.I think our pitching will get the job done. What I want to see more than anything else is improved hitting with RISP.
My apologies. I could have sworn we were the visiting team back-to-back games last year in the Super Regional.Nothing happened last year, As per NCAA rules, we were the home team for game 3.
I'm 78, welcome to the memory of memory issuesMy apologies. I could have sworn we were the visiting team back-to-back games last year in the Super Regional.
Yeah, it’s only the best uni in all of college baseball!Uniform question?
All of our Uniforms are great however, why have we gotten away from the wearing the all blue with white pinstripes?
I can’t remember the last time we have worn it.Yeah, it’s only the best uni in all of college baseball!
Don’t even know why Boaz would have even been considered. 7+ ERA which is worst on the team.Start Boaz and he struggles, then there will be 100 posters here saying I told you so.
Start Glove and he struggles, then there will be 100 posters here saying I told you so.
Coaching sure seems like fun.
Wait, is that true? Holy crap!Crazy note I didn’t realize till ESPN showed it. UNC is 24-0 when Glauber throws a pitch in the game
I think the thinking is that he’s been our day 3 starter all year and we’ve done pretty well as a team… and Globe has generally come out of the pen, even when he’s used early / long. So maybe stick with that. But your points about looking over your shoulder are valid. Wouldn’t be a great spot for him to be in. And he could always come in himself from the pen if needed.I originally was in favor of starting Boaz. It I will say that if the leash was going to be as short as everyone felt it needed to be, then it would have to have impacted Folger from the start. Looking over your shoulder at the bullpen as soon as a runner reaches second base is not a recipe for success. Could he have done it and done well? Sure. But in what would have been a high-pressure situation already…everyone in the stadium (including yourself) knowing that you step on the mound in top of 1st with no wiggle room is a tough, tough scenario.
Road v. home?UNC's record this season in the final game of a three game set: 10-2-1
USC: 10-4
Stop with the jinxing!!!Crazy note I didn’t realize till ESPN showed it. UNC is 24-0 when Glauber throws a pitch in the game
Who threw 34 pitches in relief Friday.Looks like USC decided to throw their old Sunday starter instead of the usual Sunday starter, who is a freshman. This is big for Caden. I’m nervous!
The lost GT at home, ECU was the tie at home, State on the road.Road v. home?
