The difference is in 2022 we sucked and our season was long over when we made our run. We can get to Omaha ourselves, too.
I feel like they are winning it all. Their path is aligning, which is easy as possible similar to 2022. While in 2021, our path was hard as hell.
So, if TSUN wins its super-regional and we win our super-regional then we’ll both wind up in Omaha on opposite sides of the bracket.
The most perfect thing ever would be for us to play them for the Championship and for us to win the whole thing over them.

TSUN looked good last night. Auburn did not. Hopefully that changes today. Auburn is the better team, but you never know with baseball.

Auburn seems to be in a bit of a funk considering how well they were playing in the few weeks leading up to and in our series with them.

They definitely have the pitching to win in Omaha. If they win tonight, they will not have even used their best pitcher.
In the other hand, State had the starting pitching to win the first two this weekend, but when Tico fell apart in the 5th the die was cast. State just doesn’t have the pitching to win the last 2 this weekend.

If you are referring to Townsend, that’s not really true anymore. He’s struggled down the stretch. Rabe + Calhoun and Hooks have carried them recently.
Townsend is one of highest rated draft projections for pitchers. But his next pitching performance will be in Omaha.
