It’s been a long time since I’ve played, but for the life of me I can’t understand how a D1 college hitter can’t hit one the other way

It’s a free base, a free RBI, and it’s too simple to execute (even easier than a bunt)

So many guys have a single swing path now that makes it almost impossible to hit a ground ball the other way unless you hit it off the capping or something. That’s why there’s so many shifts. Lots of guys just don’t have any variation in their swings.
