Denmark. Finland is too close to Russia. I'd also have to check to see if Denmark followed suit with the rest of Europe and took in half the population of the Middle East.

If I knew we could get jobs and communicate easily/acceptably, I could see us having moved to Demark/Netherlands/Finland/Sweden for a bit, just to experience something else for part of our kids' childhoods. Ireland too.
Same thing for Belize(jobs part of that)...though the corruption, much like weather, is opposite Northern Europe there.
I suppose many people would more seriously consider living elsewhere for a period of time, if they were confident employment and communication wouldnt be an issue.
That Northern Europe area is historically fascinating, culturally interesting, and its current geopolitical and societal issues and solutions are interesting. <--I am not saying they are 'better' than the US, to be clear.

- Ease of access to the rest of Europe
- Taxes in both are sky high, but Denmark has better earning potential
- Copenhagen has a rich history to explore. Never heard anybody say "Man, let's take a vacation to Helsinki!"

I'm not sure we/they are going about solving the drug and dictator problem the right way. But the growing influx of migrants - even those from the northern hemisphere - is not helping much either.
Had nearly a half dozen families I know relocate to Denmark in the last 10 years - work and retirement.

I dont have an issue with Denmark's immigration policy.
I dont have an issue with the concept of a more strict immigration policy for the US either.
Denmark having a strict immigration policy, because it is a high welfare country with a significant progressive tax policy, is something that could make sense. If that system would be destabilized, then it would threaten the entire country's economic future.
Since you were a dick and mentioned me, I will bring up a few things on the US immigration debate...
- I do not agree with the 'no human is illegal' idea that has been popularized over the last decade. People arent illegal, but people can be here illegally. The stupid phrase is an attempt to reframe a serious issue and I dislike that.
- Asylum requests in the US need to move more quickly. As a country, we have not allowed that(both parties) to happen for multiple reasons, and it is embarrassing. Process requests faster and allow people to stay or require them to leave. Both Affirmative and Defensive asylum requests(yes, there is a difference) can take years, like half a decade even. That is nuts and needs to change. Send people back sooner, if their request isnt legit.
- We should make it easier to come work in the US as a documented individual, and use that as a way to citizenship after X number of years paying taxes and not being convicted of a felony.
- I would be fine with making part of the US Citizenship test have an English proficiency section. That exists now, but there are age and time exceptions. I would be OK with no exceptions.
- Making a show of immigration enforcement, especially for social media clicks, is disgusting. It is disgusting to see troops surge on a city, intimidate locals, ignore limitations of their power, violate rights, and leaders attempt to villainize whenever they overstep. It is disgusting to see protestors throw things at troops or physically harm them.
- Deporting people to random countries they have no connection with is cruel. Its just a bitch move and needs to stop. It creates unnecessary division on the issue. Nobody in power should do this, regardless of party affiliation. People that must be deported should obviously be deported to their home country.
- The government trying cases in the court of public opinion needs to stop. Over and over again, the government unjustifiably smears people's names and reputations. The government should be responsible and quiet, and let the judicial process play out.
We need to move away from immigration and border enforcement being treated like a reality TV show.
- Economic and demographic indicators show the US needs more immigration. It must be legal immigration, obviously. For that to happen though, we need to reduce how long it takes for many people to immigrate to the US. Increasing resources is needed.

Russia borders Poland, Lithuania, and the Baltic Sea...despite many not realizing.
Russia has an Oblast(state) that is totally disconnected from the rest of the country. NATO/EU member states sit in-between.
Denmark is still far away, but its less than 300mi across the Baltic.

This is the inconvenient truth everyone ignores. The only sane thing to do would be to come up with reasonable immigration laws that would provide the level of immigration we need and enforce those laws. Instead, we've got one group that just wants to let everyone in and another that wants to send (virtually) everyone back home.
Agree with most of this and it's common sense BUT neither party will ever give up the political football here and ultimately it is going to destroy our country.
The high concentration non assimilation groups who can change political representation with their voting block will eventually be able to make changes that may not be in the best interests of everyday natural born American citizens.
