I'll be honest, I think I'm finding myself too caught up in this. I would honestly love to have him, but if he go somewhere else, fine. It means he doesn't want to be here.

I don't want that to diminish how excited I am to see Moreno play for us. He's a guy that could have put his name in the portal too just to get more money out of us. He's also going to go higher in the draft than Mon. Using the portal for more money is something everyone apparently does, but Moreno didn't.

Either way, I'm beyond excited to see what Moreno next year! Hope Mon chooses to play beside him!

I like the roster we have. Momciliovic is not worth this insane amount of money. He seems like a slightly better version of Steve Novak. Stats are eerily similar. Are we OK with letting Pope spend this much money in an attempt to save his job? Because it sure feels like that is what he is doing. Diallo and Wilkins will be studs. Moreno will make a huge leap and I expect Kam to be vastly improved. Just need a couple more guys to be solid role players and we are fine as is
I totally agree

Anyone else having that? Let’s just roll with the guys who are proud to wear this jersey and forget about the guy trying to milk more money out of us.

I don't but I think it's a sad indictment we don't already have him. We offered the most money and have the most pt. The decision should've taken 30 seconds.

If he really wanted to be here, he already would be. That means he is looking for reasons to go somewhere else.

I warned that Stokes had plenty of time to commit if he intended to. That's why I knew we weren't getting him. This situation isn't to that point yet, but id wager Tuesday is it: either we have him or we aren't getting him.

I think he is better than Novak, but stats do tell a tale. I still remember Larry Birds CAREER statline, which I think would shock kids who have never seen him play. 30/13/5/2.5. Insanity. Still say he is the best SF ever. I know there is another guy who is more physically gifted, but you let a prime Bird go up against a prime LBJ and Birds team will win the series more often than not

Agree! Larry legend was so multi dimensional. And in his prime before the back issues there is only a handful of players I would take over him

7 million for someone who is not, I repeat not a first round pick is stupid. Popes team will not sink or swim based on what Milan does or doesnt do. How our guards play is muuch more important, how Morenos develops is much more important. Save the money and forget the boy from Ames, Iowa pop. 65000

I also lost my account during the change. Ive had that many posts in the last year. You're right, the group I'm in actually know a thing or two and would never make a stupid assumption on post count

I've never once went to someones page to see how many posts they have lol. What a clown.
The account you're using was created in 2009. Not after 'the change' .

You should check the post counts. Find your fellow trolls. Hang out with like minded people.

This is the world of college sports well live in.
The choice is to live with it or without it.
I'll be happy with Milan if he comes, and if he doesn't..I'll survive. We all will ...

Pope whiffing fatigue. Recruiting is nothing more than unwarranted stress because Pope can’t close anything.
That’s basically what it is. We all know if Calipari was here nobody would be worried about any recruitment and that is the truth. Cal had many issues later in his tenure, but recruiting wasn’t one of them generally if it was a guy who wanted to be here especially.

I have zero Milan fatigue. Kid has done nothing wrong and moved through his recruitment quickly.

Pope needs to close this today and I’m still optimistic he will. This is, make no mistake, the most crucial recruit in Pope’s career and he absolutely cannot afford to miss. Thankfully, I think he lands the plane.

It really is insane how hard it is for us to get a commitment. We’ve reportedly offered the most money and he’ll have basically unlimited minutes and shots for the Kentucky freakin Wildcats. I mean come on, what’s the hold up?!
Look at the timeline between Tounde's draft withdrawal and commitment to SJU.
Contrast that with MM 's.
At best he's in Aberdeen's situation where he really wants to go back to ISU but they can't afford him
Either way this proves he's less than enthusiastic about playing at UK and is looking at all his options twice.
This is kind of a hard pill for fans to swallow coming from a fringe 4 star HS recruit who played three years at ISU and is a second round NB A prospect.

It's not even just not getting a player that's frustrating. It's the whole process. Kentucky leads -> Kentucky is getting him -> Kentucky leads -> Kentucky should get a commitment any time -> Kentucky is the leader -> He's going to Kentucky -> Kentucky lost momentum -> He's immediately committed somewhere else.

I just don’t understand why the wait. If you know, you know.
But perhaps you don’t know until you’ve heard everyone’s final offer.

Just from reading the hints, it sounds to me like what may have happened here is he had VERY nearly finalized his decision …until UL or AZ indicated they might be able to come up with more to match our offer.
