I am delighted that the Huskers got a No. 1 seed, but can someone tell me why we are the 4th ranked 1 seed behind three SEC schools, Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas?
You're not wrong. If going by rpi we should be 3rd
What other conference would have teams in front of us? That being said Nebraska was3rd in the metrics ( RPI etc.) it’s not like we got totally hosed on the seeding.
But we did beat Texas. WAY early in the season so maybe doesn't hold much weight along with ttech either I guess
I do chuckle and steam at the same time about espn slobbering all over ucla and how great they are yet we take 3 of 4 from them and that's no big deal

Sometimes the first win is the hardest in this format. In postseason there are no style points it’s survive and move on.

Is this true? I thought final game is final game regardless. I didn't think once it reaches the regional final game it wasn't double elimination. If we lose at 2pm we're done I thought
Nope it’s double elimination.we have to lose twice.
You are thinking of the way the College World Series used to be double elimination pool play but the championship game was winner take all even if one Team came in undefeated
