I believe we’re getting our hopes up. I don’t like Goodman but he probably has better sources than that twitter profile and he seemed super confident saying what he did. I think it’s gonna be either Louisville or St. John’s if he comes back to college
He has better sources than the actual kid himself?
ok but have you ever heard Pope talk?
Different does not mean wierd. Are you wierd because your moniker is the Apostle Saul Smith? I mean that a pretty wierd name. But I doubt it defines who you are.

So Pope needs @9mil for Momo and Moreno. I’d be out recruiting boosters with Oscar Combs more than any one recruit. We need our good ol boys from pre-Mitch days. That’s who I’d be focused on.

Surely one of us has a billion dollar business we’ve been wanting to sell and then give some of that money to the NIL fund, right??

I know someone that has a billion emails from setting up new accounts. Wonder if we could sell them to a data collector? We don’t have to tell them that it is actually only one person.

I wouldn’t think he would say something negative about any of the teams he would consider if he returns to college.

I know he’s saying NIL isn’t the most important but you’d think if he’s considering 3 schools he knows the fit by now and I don’t believe Pope is going to outbid Louisville or St John’s. That could maybe change if Moreno stays in the draft

I think a lot of people are assuming KY’s NIL amount is similar to last year but it’s not.

Kobe berea was a 49 percent shooter with better attributes. You’re desperate.
Pope could have went out with his dong out his first year and still got a second year. If he craps the bed this season he is done. For his career this would be the biggest get

Proof that it's not?

There’s no proof there is or isn’t but I’ve seen/read multiple people connected to the team mention it was lower. anyone on here saying it’s equal or more is completely guessing or assuming since we are Kentucky we just have it. Givens, Jones and another player who is around the program more since Pope took over have all said it’s lower. I will go with those guys over anyone on this board all day every day.

One said with certainty it was not as much as last season but said it was still a decent amount.

I haven’t seen or heard a single soul connected in any way with the program that has said it’s equal to or higher than last seasons. I would be willing to bet the only place you will hear that is from a poster on this board who just assumes so

Are you going by proof or assumption? It would bring clarity to my previous reply because I’ve seen no one connected to the program say we had equal or more while several who would know much more than anyone on this board have said it’s less

I did read someone said they were looking to spend more wisely but at what point do you throw that out the window and play desperate. It’s already being said in some media circles that Louisville has the highest offer for Momcilovic at the moment.

We're all just guessing, and the only ones talking about it are the Pope haters.

I just keep going back to Givens saying it super randomly because why would he just say that for no reason. He had to of heard it from someone that knew or he thought for sure knew. He said it with certainty as well.

I do agree everyone on here is just guessing. Also, I’m not a pope hater(not saying you implied that) but I am most certainly frustrated at the roster construction the last 2 years and especially this year. You can only shop wisely so much before you get cooked.

Obviously I hope it works out and they have a great season but I’m in the camp of if it doesn't go well this season it’s time to move on to someone else.

I don't think Pope is shopping unwisely and I'm sure he's throwing out some big *** offers (to borrow Will's words), he's being negatively-recruited and he's unfortunately going to have to overcome that with whatever's given to him. There are so many selfish players nowadays that ALL think they are God's gift to humanity, and they just don't want to hear about fellowship, being good stewards, playing for one another, all that stuff. It's gimme, gimme, gimme, build my brand.
