But more import

But more importantly, when will everyone on the board be ready to see results?
I know you guys think you are being cute… the only thing that was asked by the original poster (who wasn’t me) is that you don’t post the final score above the PBP. That you wait the 30 seconds for the PBP to be done. 30 seconds.

It wasn’t a huge ask, was targeted at only 1 guy (who has never done it before, and no one else has either in all the other tourneys).

It’s no different than if you were watching in a bar on your phone and everyone else was watching on the bar TV w a 15 second delay, you wouldn’t scream out the result.

That isn’t a huge ask for what is supposed to be a friendly and fun fan forum. That all of us have contributed to for decades.

Y’all do what you want. Post spoilers, don’t, call us all old nitpickers.
I’m gonna move on, read the thread later tonight, and hopefully read about PSU Ws. Thanks.

Solution for the PbP banter

1). Type faster
2). Do #1 then hit post at the end of the first period. Go back into edit mode, and add the rest of the match on the fly and hit post again when the match concludes.
3). Everyone that is not reading live in synch will see the full match PbP early in the string before any spoilers. Everyone reading live has the option of refreshing the string after the 1st period before scrolling down as the match progresses.
4). Everyone else really doesn't give a s$#@.

PS - I think I am going to just start posting "Wow" randomly throughout future events. Sounds fun

He's got a valid complaint as others echo it as well. He's not alone and should be able to voice his complaint without others piling on. This isn't HR, for Christ sake.

If people are going to make a post before the match starts, then wait 7 minutes until the match is over to go back and edit that post with the result, meanwhile the pbp's have been going on for the past 7 minutes, then the easiest solution is to either Ignore that user, or have a dedicated PBP thread and a separate Discussion thread.
Now opinions matter never stop being a 🤡

Is there a lawyer in this forum? I need representation for starting a class action lawsuit against espn.com . It turns out that they have been spoiling the result before their readers have had a chance to read the details of games. They use a nefarious mechanism called “headline”. See example below. 🙀

No .. you come in and start scrolling down. You read discussion of upcoming match … You come to a post that says “Zain up next”.

And before this tourney the next post would be PbP and you could read it. This tourney the next post you would see is “what a pin by …”, then the post w PbP.

And no, there wasn’t any mid match “discussion” along the lines of “Zain might be gassing” or “ Spencer just looks too strong” or “Jayden can get to legs but not finish”. Lots of that great stuff posted between matches of course.

But in both the Zain match and the Jayden match … you can go look… it was some form of “up next” or “in the hole”… then a few posts about other matches… then 1 guy who had to post the result ASAP…then the PbP post. Then great discussion.

I put that 1 guy on ignore and maybe that will work. If not, I will accept that the need to be 30 seconds faster than everyone else is important.
Just curious, but why is it so important for you to find out a pin occurred in a pbp post rather than another random posters post? Either way you are surprised and excited for our guy pinning someone…

Been on this board for twenty years, thought I was in shape but this thread has me gassed! Thankfully I won't leave my wrestling shoes in the center of the mat but ...

57kg final: Spencer Lee vs. Anthony Knox

The first minute features some feeling each other out movement with no scoring. Off a restart, Spencer Lee dives in on a shot and gets a takedown for two and a turn for two to make it 4-0 at the 4:52 mark. Knox is now in on a leg off the restart and he gets a takedown for two but Lee ends up working back for two exposure points and that makes it 6-2 and then two more for an 8-2 lead. Two more exposures make it 10-2 and there is blood time stoppage now.

They are back at it now with four minutes on the clock. Now there's another stoppage because the FLO guys think the replay system is down with 3:29 on the clock.

The break is over. Knox gets in on a leg about 20 seconds in and hikes Lee's leg in the air and forces a step out to make it 10-3 with 2:29 to go. Knox shoots and Lee catches him for two exposures and a 12-3 lead. There is now a minute left to wrestle and the score is the same. Knox is not shooting as if he's down nine points. He does finally take one with 30 seconds left, and Lee runs him off the mat at the :17 mark. That's it.

Lee TF Knox, 13-3

Lee will face Luke Lilledahl at Final X

Round 3 of Jax vs Davino in the last couple of months. Should be fun

Great attack by Jax. I thought Davino might be able to threaten chest wrap to defend but Jax finished strong.

4-0 Jax at the break

Davino with a nice attack but Jax defends and gets 2 on an exposure. Davino gets 1 on reversal. 6-1

Td Jax. 8-1

jax finishes it off with a td to win by tech 11-1!!
Wow!

Blaze vs Jax in a best of 3 series in Final X!! I can’t think of a match I’m more excited about

61kg final: Ben Davino vs. Jax Forrest

About 30 seconds in, Ben Davino's head collides with Jax Forrest's knee. Both need medical time. It looks like they're checking Davino for a concussion. But, he's good, and they're back going.

Forrest counters a Davino shot and scores a takedown for a 2-0 lead. Then he locks in a leg lace for two and only two. Could have been a lot worse. It's 4-0 Forrest with five minutes to wrestle. After a stalemate at the 4:35 mark, there's some action but not much before another stoppage. It's still 4-0 Forrest at the four minute mark. It's break time. Forrest leads 4-0.
