He ran on being a white man.you call them lickspittles, but a lot of people, me included, just couldn't pull a lever for Harris. Still can't see her as president.
Trump is a bombastic, narcissist, who seems to revel in chaos...we saw that in his first term, and yet the majority of voters, many of whom are blue collar workers, Hispanics, people of color, voted for him. He ran on a platform that appealed to more voters, in spite of the fact that he was "thrown out" of office after just 1 term. So you don't like Trump, lots of people don't and for sure his administrations have divided the country. But maybe, just maybe, given all that democrats should take an introspective look at their candidates and policies as opposed to being just anti trump.
You should probably let people form their own opinions before you start making up lies. I can and have at least admitted that I would have been myself but I also would have banned 50+% of the people that came over here. Which is basically the reason this all happened. The mod let certain posters do whatever they wanted. I called him out on it and he lied to me multiple times and I never once harassed his wife. All legitimate. The problem is that there was literally ONE person who ruined it for everyone. it is the mcgibs guy. Most other people who I do not like at all at least aren't psychopaths who stalk and harass the guy running/owning the site, and his wife. We were told that once that situation corrects itself our own board will be reopened. If that happens in the near future, we will all leave and I think leave this place better than we found it. But, since we will likely be here at least a little while we unpacked our bags and hung some new art on the walls. If you do not like it you can put us all on ignore and you will never see our threads or posts, which is nice.

now tell them all about how 10 -15 posters harassed me and my family members every time I posted something. I’m sure they would like to hear that side of the story.
maybe share how @Torbee mentioned my toddler should be in war and that he would drown looking up at the sky when it was raining.
I am and I’m sure you can clearly see the hatred because I’m not in their clique. They can’t accept someone being different than them and they are clueless to it.Right, but that mcgibs guy is here now. So the problem, which was apparently so bad, almost an entire board needed to flee ... is now this board's potential problem. And if you do leave, he may be here after.
Also, you suggest putting how many people on ignore to fix a problem? I don't have anything near a count, but it seems like maybe over 20, at least, that have migrated here from your former board. But you fled from 1 guy ... why couldn't he just be put on ignore, and you guys continue to post there? If the ignore feature was the answer, this situation wouldn't exist in the first place.
Again, the general political outlook you guys bring is more than welcome. It's not as if you brought a bunch of ICE agents looking to crack skulls in a sleepy suburban town. It's just the overwhelming nature of it all, and the lack of "respect" paid to walking into a "new place."
He's not even worth that type of response man.
Old habits...He's not even worth that type of response man.
@baltimorened since you replied to an older post of mine, what about this one? Then we can all surely agree that Trump is in fact a sexual predator, yes?
since you asked, here's what I know about trump as a sexual predator...he was found liable for sexual assault of Jean Carroll. So that makes him a sexual abuser. Can't be any debate about that as long as the decicion stands. Then we can all surely agree that Trump is in fact a sexual predator, yes?
Perfect! Thanks for responding.since you asked, here's what I know about trump as a sexual predator...he was found liable for sexual assault of Jean Carroll. So that makes him a sexual abuser. Can't be any debate about that
not sure which conclusion I have jumped to, especially a lot. But, I've been corrected before. There are probably 50 of us here. One post getting 5 likes is hardly group think. What is group think are the magats worshipping trump and the MSNBC crowd in the other direction. For a self-proclaimed analytical middle of the road guy, you jump to a lot of conclusions.
calvary or cavalry? You’re not the Calvary he needs, but you’re the Calvary he deserves.
did I pass??Perfect! Thanks for responding.
Autocorrect is the last refuge of the scoundrels. So autocorrect.calvary or cavalry?
Not so fast my friend. He's beaten himself plenty of times.Trump has still never beaten a man.
There was nothing to pass. Just checking on how much you're like both sides bins from our old board. Similarities are strong, which means we're gonna get along greatdid I pass??
to save time, I also believe Biden won in 2020....had to, he was president for 4 years.
Have your read your post? It is full of hasty generalizations and logical fallacies of the undistributed middle.not sure which conclusion I have jumped to, especially a lot. But, I've been corrected before.
Insofar as my groupthink comment. I have been on this board for a while and another before this. Since the "migration" there have been more similar comments - not just likes - from the group than either this or the other board. Now, as someone pointed out the new group is more anti trump than pro and that might well be the reason. But, it just seems to me that there is not a lot of pushback from any of the new guys on the comments of the other posters. Now, admittedly, I haven't done a count, and don't intend to, but if you can point out the error of my ways, I certainly will pay attention.
just wanted to make sure there wasn't a cross in my futureAutocorrect is the last refuge of the scoundrels. So autocorrect.
if it helps seal the deal, when I first joined this board some referred to me as "both sides" and not in a loving wayThere was nothing to pass. Just checking on how much you're like both sides bins from our old board. Similarities are strong, which means we're gonna get along great![]()
of course is general, as I said, I haven't counted the posts, and I don't intend to. But just so we get a long, whenever I come across as being unfair or too general just point it out. I'm more than willing to accept constructive criticism. I know I'm not always right, and am equally certain I'm not always wrong either.Have your read your post? It is full of hasty generalizations and logical fallacies of the undistributed middle.
Ole mclovin responding to himself again, still can’t remember to switch handles before posting.@baltimorened since you replied to an older post of mine, what about this one?
Ahhh - so you’ve figured out Ned. He’s our McGibbs.Have your read your post? It is full of hasty generalizations and logical fallacies of the undistributed middle.

so I assume that's an insult..interesting that tenacious - he who questioned my statement on groupthink - liked it.Ahhh - so you’ve figured out Ned. He’s our McGibbs.
I liked someone agreeing with me. Jaw dropper. Lighten up.so I assume that's an insult..interesting that tenacious - he who questioned my statement on groupthink - liked it.
so the mocking begins...
So Ned’s a dude that can form his own thoughts and ideas? Sounds like a cool dude.Ahhh - so you’ve figured out Ned. He’s our McGibbs.

it's only been a couple of days with the new guys and I can tell already that there's not a lot of that going on.So Ned’s a dude that can form his own thoughts and ideas? Sounds like a cool dude.
Perfect except he was wrong about the civil court finding.Perfect! Thanks for responding.
Or, you haven’t part of the debate for years and rather than seeing how the sausage was made you are seeing conclusions.it's only been a couple of days with the new guys and I can tell already that there's not a lot of that going on.
I guess schools these days don't teach critical thinking any more.
But, in fairness, it's only been a couple of days. I don't want to jump to conclusions too soon
I really don't need to see the sausage made...and I accept the conclusions as the specific belief of the person with the conclusion. . But, the difference is that sometimes, not all, my conclusions are different that those who made their own. I see things through the filter of my education and my life experiences, just as everybody else does. In most, or at least many, circumstances, reasonable people will try to figure out where the other person's conclusions come from, because it's just possible that his/hers conclusions are more correct than their own. As I have posted many times...I know I'm not always right, but I also know I'm not always wrong. It's entirely possible, and on some topics, likely, somebody knows more than I do. But the opposite of that is that I might just be more knowledgeable about a specific topic than another.Or, you haven’t part of the debate for years and rather than seeing how the sausage was made you are seeing conclusions.
I will say this, there are a few of us here on the far left who I feel the same way about, as well as the far right. Truth holders in their own minds. I feel like most of us, like most of society, are somewhere in the middle of the ends of the spectrum. I think you are attributing truthholder status too broadly. If we are here long enough, that should become self evident.I

It seems to me, without empirical evidence, that there are many who only accept that their conclusions are correct and that everybody else is wrong. I've been around longer than most on here, and I've yet to run across the individual who is always right. He might be out there, but I haven't met him yet.
Also, I might have missed it but I don’t seem to see a response to my question: As a retired vet, what do you think of what he’s done with NATO and Ukraine?I

Old-timers have seen me post this before....I represented the US at NATO twice - once when I worked in Army Aviation R&D in the Pentagon and then later when I worked for a defense company as member of the NIAG (NATO Industrial Advisory Group). Also, I might have missed it but I don’t seem to see a response to my question: As a retired vet, what do you think of what he’s done with NATO and Ukraine?
