only one poster insulted Tom’s wife
Who was that because it certainly wasn’t me. I mentioned that someone informed me that she once ran for a democratic house position and lost, end of story. If that’s insulting, we truly have a lot of weak individuals on here.

Kind of think they aren’t so enamored. Zero replies by them in this thread is telling.
Nonsense. We are all at church passing rattlesnakes. Once we are healed and have given all our money to this guy we will be back posting.

lots of posts seem kind of childish. I was wondering how old some of you were...seems kind of sophomoric....when did you first notice your penis? my poop smelled like gravy today?? what are we in grade school?
To our new members - you can ignore Ned. He sucks the joy out of everything. Whether it is looking the other way toward pedophiles or taking conversations straight off into the gutter, you can assure yourselves that every post will be an attempt to ruin a thread.

I like it personally. I’ve been wanting a good reason to rid myself of this psychotic tranny, illegal immigrant loving board for weeks. Good luck with some of these they/thems. I hope you all like super hot bearded ladies and power lifting Herculean lady boys that work at C1 C2 nuclear conversion alpha tango plant. Peace ✌️
Wow - the new members are really cleaning this place up!

Yes, there is a sophomoric streak. A few potheads, but friendly enough.

I think you've seen more of it than average as the troop was in a rather festive mood after the move.

In general... decent contingent of gen X / elder millennial sorts that are irreverent and trend liberal. Although moreso in the generalized way politically, not big democrats or even progressives overall. Trump is strongly disfavored.

We come from a super active board. I was there for 25 years. Every possible topic has been debated 1,000x. We have seen “normal” posters turn into brainwashed trumpers. We have people who love trump hate everything “left”. I am a slightly right to middle of the road fiscal conservative, mostly socially liberal, 50+ year old, former USAF, “normal dude,” and you would think i was the leader of the communist party to some of them. Many of us have found that arguing politics is shouting into the wind and use the board for humor, a place to post word game scores, travel advice, cooking advice, trouble shooting car/house issues, etc. You might be surprised at the level of education and sophistication of large percentage of us, despite the poop jokes. It’s just an outlet.

I'm a non-Clemson "interloper" myself, and while I share your general outlook, politically, and find it tiresome battling the MAGAt trolls on this board (so reinforcements are welcome, in some respects) ... there has been a definite "locust" vibe to it all, so far.

I mean, typically a "new guy" comes in, tries to feel out the landscape, introduces himself slowly and then eases into integrating into the board fabric.

Instead, this has been more of a situation where you invite one guy to the party, he rings the doorbell, and he says "I hope you don't mind, I brought some friends," and a hundred of his biker outlaw friends come crashing through and take over everything, eating all the food, drinking all the beer, hitting on the women, destroying mom's fine china ... like an 80's style teen movie.

It doesn't help that the narrative is that you guys come from drama and a recently destroyed board ... and that, in all likelihood, whatever problems were caused there are likely to pop their heads up here. If you go to a hotel, and it's overrun with bed bugs, and you all run out screaming to a neighboring hotel ... chances are, some bed bugs hitched a ride and are now going to take over that hotel, too.

All legitimate. The problem is that there was literally ONE person who ruined it for everyone. it is the mcgibs guy. Most other people who I do not like at all at least aren't psychopaths who stalk and harass the guy running/owning the site, and his wife. We were told that once that situation corrects itself our own board will be reopened. If that happens in the near future, we will all leave and I think leave this place better than we found it. But, since we will likely be here at least a little while we unpacked our bags and hung some new art on the walls. If you do not like it you can put us all on ignore and you will never see our threads or posts, which is nice.

Right, but that mcgibs guy is here now. So the problem, which was apparently so bad, almost an entire board needed to flee ... is now this board's potential problem. And if you do leave, he may be here after.

Also, you suggest putting how many people on ignore to fix a problem? I don't have anything near a count, but it seems like maybe over 20, at least, that have migrated here from your former board. But you fled from 1 guy ... why couldn't he just be put on ignore, and you guys continue to post there? If the ignore feature was the answer, this situation wouldn't exist in the first place.

Again, the general political outlook you guys bring is more than welcome. It's not as if you brought a bunch of ICE agents looking to crack skulls in a sleepy suburban town. It's just the overwhelming nature of it all, and the lack of "respect" paid to walking into a "new place."

This is why we're best friends! Former GOP conservative (literally voted for Bush 2x, McCain, Mitt, etc.). Switched over to Johnson in 2016 and have just looked on with my jaw dropped over this country's desire to elect two senior citizens, both belonging in nursing homes.

Also a retired USAF E7, former Intelligence Analyst. I'm pretty conservative in my personal life, but tend to be a little more socially liberal in the voting booth and as stated in the other thread, I don't wear a red or blue jersey...I'm an Independent (and Trump is the worst thing to ever happen to this country).

Also, it is important to note that we did not flee from a person. It's more like one person called in a bomb threat and shut the building down for everyone else. In terms of the ignore function I think all you have to do is ignore the original poster of a thread and you won't see it at all.

well, we should get a long..I'm a little older than you, really a lot older truth be told...career army,

There's far too much name calling on the board for me, and education and sophistication of some of the new guys - poop/penis - is yet to be seen - at least to me. But, I simply ignore those.

We had enough anti trumpers before all the new ones arrived, and I don't mind being anti trump policies, I'm against some also, but being anti a person without discussing the policies leads to zero opportunity for discussion. Just being against something when similar things occurred in the past is just meaningless.

We have a lot of people with tremendous experience that could/should be shared. I'm sure some of the "new guys" fit that mold as well. I' optimistic some of our good qualities will rub off and some of yours will as well.

We are familiar with the type
speaking for Ned, he might be the most reasonable poster on this board. In fact there's no other posters as "on point", probably has never been a better poster, and likely will never be a better poster in history of the board.

Don't pay any attention to this rastafarian guy...he's totally hung up on Epstein

Don't want to overstate my military service. After being commissioned through ROTC, I served for 4 years as a weapons system analyst in the USAF's material command. After that, I went back for round 2 for a professional degree. Proud of my time in the USAF and it was a great opportunity for me and my wife starting out together getting married during the summer between graduation and moving to Boston. Politically I am an independent who has voted for mostly democrats in presidential elections, given the choices, but often times republicans locally or for congressional seats. I just try to vote for the person who aligns most with most of my ideas. Since 2016, that has been decidedly NOT trump. Anyone but trump and his lickspittles, really.

Pretty sure a ton of people were involved. If you’re trying to say that I’m the poster that’s not exactly like your teenage girl clique. Then yeah I’m your problem. As long as the mod on this board isn’t in that same clique, there shouldn’t be any issue at all. All I ever asked for was equal treatment among posters and that he follow his own rules that he laid out for the board.
Yep. You're the loser. Goodbye.

We didn't flee...he created a problem and the moderator shut it down, so it's pay to play over there. I had him on ignore for a long time, because he adds nothing of substance to anything.
