Evans vs Bartlett now. 3rd place match.

Bartlett go behind for 2. Restart. 2-0 Beau
Bartlett TD. 4-0. Not sure why no exposure with it.
Evans put on clock. Evans TD. 4-2 Beau. Restart.
4-2 Beau at the break.
Beau TD. And gut wrench. 8-2 Beau. Restart.
Evans pushout. 8-3 Beau.
I was waiting for it… Evans went headlock but didn’t get it.
Beau counters an Evans shot and puts Evans on his back. 12-3. Restart.
Ends 12-3 Beau. Good tournament for both men.

DeSanto being DeSanto. Forrest gets poked in the eye. DeSanto attacks anyway, ref blows the action dead, DeSanto slams his hand into the mat and then struts around upset at the call. Not good.
Who knocked Forrest into the consolations?

Jordan Williams (transfer portal/Iowa) had a great tourney. Takes third beating Melvin Miller in the 3rd/4th match.
Flo working to keep the Miller Hype Train moving:

Apparently none of the U20 guys got the memo on Asher Cunningham. Destroys the #3 seed, basically by mat wrestling in a freestyle match and then destroys his 2nd opponent with a takedown to bow and arrow at the edge followed by giving the guy his leg to then sit down to cut the corner and toss him for exposures twice. Wrestling Asher is like showing up to a trebuchet fight with a slingshot.

I just went and rewatched the Sealey vs Carr match. Sealey used to be a wild man on the mat where he just attacked nonstop and it got him in trouble at times. He is much more measured now and his handfight and baseline defense has gotten so much better. He was incredible defensively against Carr. Really amazing performance by Joe

Asher is a scary dude. He is huge and mean just like his dad. Bow and arrow on top and that head pinch to end the match was beautiful. Competition will get much tougher but he looks the part so far. Henckel looked great this weekend as well. I’m super curious how it goes between these 2
