Sealey is having a really great tournament. Beats Barraclough 7-3. Barraclough had beaten AA Nicco Ruiz and lost 4-3 to Monday. Sealey is impressing
I'll be glad when all of our PSU wrestlers didn't practice with DT in the room. It seems like our guys that DT had his hands on, he knows their Achilles heal and can coach up his guys to take advantage of it.

I thought, because Hidlay sits in Final X, that there would be no other option beyond the US Open?
Another question. Do you have a certain length of time to make it too the mat you are supposed to be wrestling at?

Well i think it happened. Because Parris was supposed to wrestle Mullen. And he never showed up. So it was counted as a FF

I'd guess a situation where someone told someone told someone that he wasn't wrestling and it never got to the table. OR he just said F it and left and didn't tell anyone. Either is possible at tournaments, ha.

Penn State wrestling had and up and down day one at the 2026 US Open. Here are our top takeaways fro the first two sessions.
I mean how many have wrestled with a broken nose? I fought with a couple -first 2 I dance around trying to feel why my nose wasn’t where it used to be. It hurts to sneeze, inhale, hell getting kicked in the legs even made it hurt. Feels like your head has exploded so let’s not write him off yet.
If his nose was broke I would think he would’ve been wearing a face mask. That happens frequently. I’m not sure what is going on but any kind of facial fracture could be protected with a face mask
Glass half full: Sealey looks outstanding and could absolutely find the podium at 157, and Connor could absolutely do the same at 197 if Barr is seriously injured.
What color was the blood…skip, skip, skip (falls over and drops to one knee totally out of breath given advanced age).I am old enough to remember mom hanging clothes outside…….

Not worried about Barr, you’re 6 months out from the start of the season plenty of time to recover. Kasak more concerning from an injury perspective but if he doesn’t go they have multiple options to fill the spot.
For the Kasak doomers like myself, Jayden James weighed in almost a full KG under the limit. Maybe leaving himself room for day 2, or maybe an option for 157.

Just an FYI, at the football Blue-White practice today, so updates from me will be extremely limited until later, but I'll try my best.
On second thought, ha, this session didn't even start yet. Hamiti must not have weighed in. Henckel gets Kennedy in the consolation semis.

Henckel has Patrick Kennedy scheduled in the next round. If it is wrestled, it should really show where he stands as a title contender next season.
RAF not having the best showing. Their 135, 165, and 175lb champs all didn't even make the US Open semis.
I think whoever wins the spot at 174 is instantly a title contender. That is the most wide open weight going into next year

Minto is great, no doubt - wrestled Levi super tough each time and probably leveled up a bit near the end of the year. But he lost to Kennedy, Facundo, and Kharchla this year, so I think he’s far from a lock. Not enough offense against good guys.
Pretty confident that whoever wins the 174 spot for Penn State is an absolute title contender.
David Evans ahead of Arujua 2-1 in the first period. Evans up 4-3 at the break. Evans wins 10-6. But Arujua wasn't really trying.
