This is what I mean lol. The thread about us contacting Montgomery was filled with folks yawning and claiming we were recruiting scrubs. The kid signs with Louisville and its like we missed out on LeBron lol
This guy would have been a solid pickup, keep telling yourself this, by the end of this weekend, 90% or more of the top 50 portal players will be off the boards.

Well the job entails signing kids not conversing with them and freaking them out. If that was the case Pope would get a life time contract.

If we needed him to play more than a full in 6-10 minutes a game then that’d be bad. I like Morton over him but we really need a splash like McNeil to make a real impact.

7’5 Dynes actually likely to Louisville too. Neither him nor Montgomery were needed as they both wouldn’t have made a difference but still wild to see them both likely ending up at Louisville.
Montgomery or someone like him is certainly needed, we have two guards on the roster that are ready to play.

It is not a matter of telling himself anything. He did not actually input an opinion on this guy. He just pointed out what many were saying on the thread that was discussing Montgomery.

I never understood why Pope even had him on campus as we need a legit backup for Moreno. Is he really planning on Potter being the backup? I really don't understand what the hell Pope is doing right now.
Desperation. This has been a failure. He knows this is it for him too. One more year to stomach through

I think the feeling on the street is he's a lame duck coach. Nobody may be officially saying this yet but agents and players probably do talk to each other.

Last year we didn't get our main targets but we still got good players on paper. After a terrible season, coupled with poor recruiting the narrative may be getting set that Pope is not going to last here.

We're stuck with him for the upcoming season so I hope he proves me wrong and wins 30+ games.

Looks like U6 must have unlimited cash to spend this year.

Did he leave Dayton for more money or because he didn't want to compete for clock with Travis Perry ??

I don't think Pope understands what the hell he is doing right now.

Potter is a very good backup for Moreno & will play some backup 4 Because he can shot the 3 ball. Come January 1st you can criticize Potter all you like but why would you put a kid down without any reason other than to bash Pope.
Pope just got his starting 4 from Africa & we now have our starting 6.

I’m surprised either one of them can even hear Kelsey from up there.

I’m seriously wondering for those that even now; still, support Pope, still making excuses for him, still “giving him time” to become Hurly and Coach K, have you been tested for dumbass?

not to be rude here, but you’d have to be slow or a rival fan to still be doing this. This is Kentucky, this isn’t eastern. If you can’t understand this you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing here.

Hate to admit it, ”The Kentucky Commuter School in The Hood“ is assembling a deep team. Guess a decent coach and big money goes a long way. Ugh….
