Lmao. We all wanted Cal gone but imagine telling yourself back in 2023 you would go from getting future lottery picks to begging or a Gabe Dynes commit
Really? After watching UK get beat by everyone in 20-21, lose to St Peter’s and Oakland (yup they are both colleges with basketball programs) in Round 1, we are pining for the guy who had a top 1-2 guard in the NCAA last year and a roster of McDees but lost at home to Mark Pope? The grace thrown everywhere but at Pope is astounding.

I think some of our fan base liked winning the NBA draft with Cal!!!

I have a question. Is a committed transfer able to back out of their commitments?

Last year, there was some musical chairs going on at some places.

Don’t quote me on it, but I’m pretty sure until they are officially signed, they can still re-enter the portal even after ‘committing’.

I believe they can back out of a commitment (verbal), but not if they have officially signed an NIL deal. Football has had some guys break NIL deals, but it takes negotiations and payment.

I'd love to see us go after this guy. I'm still under the impression we are on Boom alert for Freeman this morning but I've also heard the names Jalen Reed and Thomas Dowd thrown around overnight. We will see, Freeman come on down!
How good are those guys?

Pope may have to fly to Europe at this point to start scouting.

Dowd was 14/10 on 33% from 3 last season but not sure how it translates from Troy, a little undersized at 6'8. Poor mans Rancik IMO. Reed was at LSU big body 6'10 250lbs had a 10/6 stat line in only 18 minutes a game in limited games due to a knee injury and 43% from 3. He has had injuries the past 2 seasons. I'd take Reed of those 2 but we need Freeman as the starter and Reed would be a serviceable backup if he can stay healthy and play some at the 5 as well. Those were two new names I hadn't heard yet but I believe are contingency options and or backup options along with Mcbride and a MoD return.
