Rancik brings some things Freeman doesn’t.

He’s a better jump shooter and passer. He even shot over 85% from the line on well over 100 attempts.

Freeman is better around and in the paint and is an elite defensive rebounder.
Unpopular opinion but I actually prefer Rancik and McBride, but I believe we end up with Freeman and Rancik which most will rejoice over and I’d still love. I’m fine with either and also with Freeman and McBride. Just need any combo of the 2. They are all major upgrades from Jelavic and MoD from last year.

I’m under the impression Freeman has been a done deal since yesterday and all the SJ and Tennessee smoke was only smoke. We will find out in the next 24 hours.

If we get Rancik and Freeman I’ll drive to Lexington and give Pope a kiss. He’s building a solid roster so far this offseason. These two and a backup guard? Dare I say even Stokes? Holy ****!

I'd say Rancik, Freeman, McBride. Then a shooter like McNair or McNeil. Maybe the big from FAU for interior defense.

Just that people were mainly talking about Ranick . I haven’t seen one second of either one of them. I’ve stopped watching highlights of any player until they commit to us .

Plus , I saw someone else comparing Ranick to Carr .
Rancik is closer to a traditional stretch four. Freeman is more of a dynamic/hybrid four. More athletic and better driver than Carr. I wouldn’t say Carr is comparable to either but closer to Donnie Freeman. Either one is probably better than Carr in a vacuum imho.

BTW, Jedwar, a moderator , only has 113 points for almost 20,000 posts. It's probably got to do with the last merger, or whatever. But thanks for playing!

Rancick’s perimeter game is slightly favorable to Carr’s just going by bulk stats. But otherwise what he’s turned in so far has been not nearly as good as Carr. He could certainly hit an upswing. I don’t think most people realize what we really had in Carr, especially if he’d stayed healthy.

Kevin Durant is 6’11. Shoots 41% from 3 and grans 5.5 rebounds per game. You wouldn’t want him?

*not saying Rancik is on KD’s level
Umm …Rancik shoot only 40% from the FLOOR …as in overall, even taking into account layups and dunks …NOT 40% “from 3.”

Now, please, continue with your Kevin Durant comparison.
