Where and from whom are you "hearing" this?
Depends on who the players are if it's good news or not. Of course we are eventually gonna field a team. Getting portal players is inevitable.
I can't say who but I'll say a PF and SG for Today. By Monday evening or Tuesday Evening we will have added 2 More Players on top of that. So 4 Commits coming. 2 Today and 2 more after that by Tuesday Evening.
I really hope Donnie Freeman is in here somewhere along with Cruz Davis.

These guys don’t put us in contention and more importantly the team dynamics, Pope is taking the kids he can get, not necessarily who he actually wants. I am hearing 2 from Lindsay Wilson and 2 from Alice Lloyd.

Anyone who wanted Cruz Davis over Alex Wilkins doesn’t know how to evaluate talent. Wilkins is bigger, stronger and much better at everything except 3pt shooting. There’s a reason Davis was our 4th option behind Wilkins, Cox, Brown and most recently McNeil. Guess we have to have something the complain about though. Averaging more pts per game does not equate to a better player.

Agree .. but Wilkins would do great on ANY team..
I would take Wilkins over Cruz 10 times out of 10. Wilkins is a future pro.
Agreed, Davis would have been the 7th man for us and people act like TT getting his commitment was some big blow.

At this point, any UK fan desperately wanting any good news, would like ANY player at this point. Just think, at the beginning of the week it was…bro, we are gonna get Wright, Stokes, Freeman, and Diallo! Even if we get three of those it’ll be lit. If two, bro, Stokes and any other would rock. End of the week…we get easily the worst of the four. And miss on backups to the backup. The costant complainers will never be happy regardless of who we sign as long as Pope is here. If we land Stokes they will just shift their negativity too Pope overpaid again for a player. He must have offered $7 million dollars for an unproven high school kid or thats nice but Pope still cant coach or develop them.

I don’t understand the need to complain in every thread. But in their defense, all the evidence we’ve seen so far points to almost everything you just posted they would say being correct. You have to take the results for what they are.
