Yes. Pope is killing it here. 1 high school commit (who is out of the top 100), zero transfer portal recruits, and over half the roster leaving.WE HAVE NO CHANCE! POPE CAN'T RECRUIT.
IF POPE GETS HIM, HE MUST SUCK.

The only reason we got 1 high school commit is because we gave his dad a job.Yes. Pope is killing it here. 1 high school commit (who is out of the top 100), zero transfer portal recruits, and over half the roster leaving.
24th rated PF in the portal says, hello 14+ losses! Heck, pair him with the 9th rated PG from a losing team, and the 80th ranked 2G from BFE State, and Pope will favored to threaten that 63% winning percentage next season! This guy honestly looks like a big upgrade over Jelavic. Reminds me of Carr, but can Pope sign him?
It's on the KSR pay board.I looked on Jamie’s X account and don’t see anything about this player visiting UK
I agree, but it's between this guy or Noah at pf at this point.24th rated PF in the portal says, hello 14+ losses! Heck, pair him with the 9th rated PG from a losing team, and the 80th ranked 2G from BFE State, and Pope will favored to threaten that 63% winning percentage next season!
It will be way closer to 50% than 63%, if we’re being honest.
Yeah, kinda my thoughts exactly hahaHe has some flaws that keep him from currently being a star, but I wouldn’t totally hate this if we can’t get Freeman. His 33% mark from three isn’t earth shattering, but is serviceable for a stretch big, and there’s reason for optimism that he could improve it a bit since he was an 86% free throw shooter. He also had a really solid defensive rebounding rate and showed some passing ability this year. He did all this in the Big 12, so there’s less concern about his game not translating or needing time to adjust against high level competition.
The flaws are that he doesn’t rate very well defensively and will absolutely need to improve his finishing inside the arc, as 47% from 2 is honestly pretty bad for someone his size. I could see him being a legitimate rotation piece on a good team, but probably not a star unless he makes a big jump in his development.
So basically it was IU that backed off because they found someone better?Rancik was an IU lean, but it appears that IU is getting Aiden Sherrill from Bama to pop for them today, and they got the 7'2" guy from SMU yesterday.
So Rancik just cancelled his IU visit and is visiting Lexington.
I’m starting to think if Pope had Oprah’s money he still couldn’t get top guys.Pope is turning into Oprah.
You get a visit!
You get a visit!
You get a visit!

Freeman is still on his visitFreeman is off the table then.
You get a pretty good player visiting, and you are running him down before he even gets here. No wonder the Cats can't sign anyone.Yes recruits do read these message boards in order to get a feel of what they are getting themselves into. This is getting depressing.
More likely Rancik backed off because he correctly sees that their is no longer a featured role for him at IU.So basically it was IU that backed off because they found someone better?
Yeah, this is depressing. We used to be the ultimate “we eat first” program, now we’re fishing for castoffs.
Carr, but agile. Has good vision, too. Some nice passes on those highlights. I ain't mad about it.This guy honestly looks like a big upgrade over Jelavic. Reminds me of Carr, but can Pope sign him?
Yeah he's really the starter we need. Pope is going all out....Carr, but agile. Has good vision, too. Some nice passes on those highlights. I ain't mad about it.
