There are a number of great groups including Gotterup's. Rory being the winner last year will play will US Amateur Champion Mason Howell, who is only 18! Spieth, Rose, Koepka. 3 US Open Champions, DeChambeau, Fitzpatrick, Schauffele.
But before Thursday comes, there is the great tradition of the Par 3 tournament which is highly entertaining on Wednesday.
Howell is heading to Georgia in the Fall. Georgia is a good squad even without him, Ranked #23.

Question for better golfers than me here which at this point would be just about everyone............

Chris is known as having a lower ball flight with less backspin than most. Is that something that could hurt him at a course like Augusta National with it's notoriously fast greens. Along with the wind today and tomorrow, they may be super fast.

He'll still be one of the top players in driving distance this week, when he is using his driver.

Rory’s chip in on 17 was amazing. Was thinking he might drop a shot, ends up with birdie to extend his lead.

Phenomenal shot, but like on 13 and 15, where he hit bad drives, he made perfect trouble shots to good spots to at least make par likely and birdie possible.

A lot of good golf so far. Glad to see Rahm make the cut. Can’t believe Bryson blew up on the last hole to miss it. It’s tricky to play with such a large lead. The rest of the pack needs help from Rory to make it interesting.

Lots of “easy” pin placements today. There are going to be some very low scores. The question is whether Rory is one of them.

Rory’s been playing with fire all day. He’s been erratic with both his driver and his irons. Looks like it’s about to bite him on 11. Drove it into the woods, got lucky and kicked out into the fairway, but way back (220+). Then he overcooks a draw into the pond left of the green. There’s a reason you never flirt with left on 11.

It’s a double on 11. Lead is down to 1 over Cam Young and 2 over Day, Burns, & Li. Getting tighter, but lots of holes still left today.

Chris didn't give himself many chances after the 2nd hole.

He did hit perhaps the drive of the week on 11. 373yds! Unfortunately his approach was 40' past the hole. He did hit a great 2nd on 18 to 4' from the cup. 2nd time he Birdied 18.

He's not going to win but can still finish Top 15 with a good day.

Rory's struggles continue today. Even when he was -12 after two rounds a lot of that was amazing chips and putts, but that can only hold up so long and he paid for his inaccuracy a bit yesterday and moreso today, as he's +2 through 6 with some bad irons and poor putting, so he's 2 back of Young who's at -11 and one back of Rose and Henley at -10 and tied with Scheffler who's at -9 and playing well. Going to be a fascinating last round as usual.

Rose now up 2 strokes on Rory, Young and Henley and 3 up on Scottie and Hatton - amazing how quickly things change. Wouldn't mind seeing him finally get a green jacket.

McIlroy with a gorgeous birdie on 12 to go to -12 and a 2-stroke lead over Rose (who just 3-putted 13 after being on in two after bad bogeys at 10 and 11), Young, Henley and Hatton, who is in the clubhouse with -10. Long way to go still.

Scheffler making his run with birdies on 15 & 16. Rose birdies 15 to stay in it. But this is Rory’s to lose.
Yep, but he just hit a poor shot on 18 that he had to have to make birdie. Rory 2 up with 3 to play is definitely his to win or lose, unless Scottie chips in or Rose gets one more - although with one bad drive and a 3 putt one can drop 2 shots easily.

You don’t get a jacket missing 5 inch putts. It’s been like 30 years since a UK golfer won so odds were against him

Isn’t Northern Ireland part of the UK? Rory is from Northern Ireland.
