Looks like Drew's best asset is rebounding.

Looking at St Mary's last 3 games, here were Drew's stats (all against quality opponents):

vs Santa Clara (76-71 loss)

31 min, 3-8 from the field, 5-7 FTs for 11 pts, 11 rebs, 1 block, 0 steals, 2 assists

vs Texas A&M (63-50 loss in NCAA Tourney)
29 min, 0-3 from the field, 0-4 FTs for 0 pts, 8 rebs, 1 block, 1 steal, 4 assists

Update on Alvaro:

There is a belief Folgueiras might not return to Iowa next season and would be taking a pay cut if he did so.

“Sources have said they would be surprised if he is back for another year in Iowa City,” Nakos said of Folgueiras. “The Hawkeyes had a team workout earlier this week that Folgueiras did not attend, per a source. The two sides are expected to meet again on Wednesday.”

Hopefully we aren’t spending too much money on him then 😳 I have no idea what the number is, but I’m hearing we have a very good shot of landing him

Thanks for posting this. :)

And that would be awesome because we definitely need more size down low.

7'2". And he would have 2 years left.

Decker doesn’t seem like a point guard…only one assist per game

I’ve heard the same on Decker. I have not heard anything on Johnson so thanks for sharing.

Couple more to look at include Freitag from Buffalo and George from Syracuse. Another target at C Iowa really likes is Fru from L'ville.
ESPN ranks Fru #27 in their top 40. He was the portal player wanting $3M. McKeever is not ranked in ESPN's top 40.

Their Name, Image & Likeness sure is worth a lot! :)

None of this is pay for play, of course. :(

Luka Garza is earning $2,461,463 this year playing for the Boston Celtics....

What a time to be alive....
I always said fans care more about the name on the front of the jersey... there are too many inconsequential players in the NCAA yet we worry about the .05% that are truly worthy of NIL.

I agree he does not appear to be 7 foot stiff. Moves well, good passer, shooting?, defense?, etc. I trust Ben M to know what his potential is at Iowa.
Ben will look at overall movement and his passing from the top of the key more than anything.
