What was the point of this post? Maybe wait until portal players actually start getting signed and then reevaluate. Literally all the top guys still on the board and havenāt signed with anyone.

Exactly. And Iām not a Pope pumper, Iām in the camp he is in over his head and will never be Elite. Chandler wanted star money and also would have started if he were to come back, for us to be good we need an upgrade and now we have a chance to get it.
Iām glad these shiit players have left. Pump on that a while. Pope sucks but so did the players.

In the pay for play era the school itself means nothing to these top players. Hence why UConn, Kansas, Duke etc havenāt signed anyone either.

The boards in the worse shape Iāve seen it in a long time. Iāve been attacked by people that hate pope and love pope for stupid reasons that make absolutely no sense for anyone to get mad about. SMH

Mark Pope has to be aware his future depends upon getting top ranked recruits through any means-Portal, High School, overseas. There is no secret this next season will be make or break. I have to believe he will convince the powers that be to spend whatever it takes.
Those carrying on about his poor coaching may be right but where were they before this season? Everyone was mad at the experts when it was suggested we were not a top 5 team or weren't going to win the SEC. Jelavic was going to be awesome. Chandler was going to really improve. Oweh was coming back. J.Q. was a pro in waiting. Noah was a dead-eye 3 point shooter. Jasper Johnson was a 5 star offensive juggernaut, etc. You all (including me) expected this. So the difference in belief and outcome was so much of a disaster it tainted the prior season where many of the same people here were praising Pope for the accomplishment of building a team after Cal had f'd us.
My hope is Pope gets those truly top 10 Portal players and others in the different positions especially in the front court. If he lands the top talent and wins everyone here will change their tune next season. Time will tell in the next few weeks and expectations can be based upon who will be playing for us.

I get why some of you all donāt like him. Iām willing to give him year 3 to see what happens. Hopefully it gets better, if not we will be looking for a coach next year

Iāve never understood this perspective. Why does it hurt you if other people that post here donāt have the same opinion? Theyāre fans of the same team as you and have the same amount of administrative control over the team/roster as you.. itās one thing for healthy debate, but the OMG theyāre still here stuff is a little much when the biggest red flag they have is trying to be supportive and hopeful. Cmon dude, lighten up on the brothers.

Needed a complete overhaul and he's doing it. The major move is understanding he has to get 3 stars with majority of the money. 10/11 on 3 players and 5 on another 4.
