Jeez, so the Democratic party is logically and morally superior? I may have to take a second look at them, and maybe join your wife and daughters in the Democratic party.

Nah. I'm much happier as an Independent, beholden to no ideology or groupthink. But you should keep obsessing over that assault by soft drink. It's so meaningful, and doesn't make you look crazy at all.

I’m disappointed that we aren’t continuing to bomb them while we talk, but ok I guess it’s halftime. I'm not. The threat of additional future bombing is more than sufficient for negotiating purposes. Trump should make an honest effort to negotiate, and not engage in more surprise, mid-negotiation bombing. It looks terrible. We can let people get some sleep, pull some maintenance on equipment, replenish munitions and get ready for the next kickoff. we will also gather more intel rebuild target lists so that when this ceasefire most likely breaks down we can go in big like we did on day one.

Iran has to agree to the things that we would take from them militarily if they dont. #1 is the nuke program and ironclad verification/monitoring. Beyond that you can probably quibble about the order of importance. Strait of Hormuz is the other. I would also like to see something about their missile program, and I'd like to see some cost recoupment for us. They are the ones that made us do this to them, so they can help fund the cost of it.

I am very very skeptical of any deal. You cannot EVER trust anything from that regime. So there has to be verification and levers that we can pull and not just have this be all talk.

I am not a fan of taking the foot off the gas once you have the upper hand. Keep hitting targets while we negotiate but we'll lay off the bridges and power plants, and don't kill the guys negotiating with us, other than that, no time outs. The pain stops when you do what we want. But with that said, Iran isnt' going to meaningfully reconstitute in 2 weeks. It will however give us a chance to back off the pace of ops and prepare for resumption in a big way. If we have to go back at it, we will be able to surge like we did on day 1.
