Yeah that is really hard to fathom if he truly believes that. But if he said it he must think it’s true. Possible huge red flag with his perception compared to reality.
A-hole Philstat at it again. Never stops posting stuff that confuses people and thinks it's funny to jerk people's leg and confuse them.. Every day is April fools to him. I can only imagine such a hollow existence.

It’s X, and yeah we have a few fans who are over 30 thinking they should contact kids. Sickening. Kentucky is definitely not alone but no matter who it is it’s just stupid and pathetic. About 2% of our fanbase have lost their brains.
And that 2% is what rivals take off the net and say "hey look at what UK fans are saying" as if the entire fanbase thinks this way. I see it all the time time here with our fans posting stuff that some UT fan or whatever fan of a team posted and they say "UT fans" as if that one thought represent everybody. But the jerks of the fanbase will just shrug their shoulders, eat another donut, take a nap and start spewing vomit again when they wake up.
Well if it’s online it must be true! Seriously taking these twitter post and posting them as interesting is showing more than you realize.
For the 20th time, Kentucky has a very tame fanbase online than almost every fanbase I interact with online. It’s not a close call. The absolute worst fanbases get AWESOME recruits it does not stop them at all. Kentucky fans hurt recruiting is a myth it’s nonsense and it’s peddled by fans here to simply try and vindicate themselves and make it appear big entities agree with their personal issues that they have with posters. It’s low rent attempts.
It’s just a psychological trick “see the ENTIRE WORLD INCLUDING RECRUITS HATE YOU TOO”. Lol. It’s laughable.
Fans at every stage including (much worse) the next one do waht they do. Mark is an awful, putrid, horrid recruiter. Facts. Fans have nothing to do with it, facts. He’s always been bad at recruiting no matter where he is, facts. Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, LSU etc are WORSE than UK fans online, facts. Duke is way worse online, facts.
Time to stop this nonsense. None of it is true at all. Kentucky has an administration and coaching problem, not a fan problem, facts.
The issue is there's just not much to be positive or happy about right now in BBN. Hell, we're looking forward to FOOTBALL with a new coach right now. What does that say?!

I am not defending Pope. You can look at my post history. I don’t think he’s the guy for the job. I thought it was worth sharing because Dick Gabriel was one of the tweets. I didn’t share just any random Twitter accounts.

It’s that, totally. Jack Pilgrim said they got tired of having recruits lined up for Pope, and then him being unable to close the recruitment. Said they felt it was harming their reputation so it was better just to cut ties with him.
The fact that Mark Fox is still there tells you all you need to know. We kept the assistants that have no other career prospects

They can blame Hart & Brooks all they want but I doubt they are the recruiting issue. Pope has the right to choose his staff and maybe they were underperforming on other duties.
With recruiting we have had a multitude of recruits and portal guys at the closing table and then everything collapses. That means the issue is with our closer, JMI or a combination of them both.
That is not on the assistants unless one of them is the closer.

Nah I like being alone but negative every post, or sarcastic tells me you got it rough, prayers are out to you. Last year(this season)was a bad year, we aren't firing pope though. Either he does better or next year he will get fired. We still got another assistant to get and tons of new transfers to choose from. Anything is possible. I can't just say it'll be a repeat of last year, first year was different.

Players are not coming here because of Pope. Nobody decides to go to a school because of the asst coach. They go because of the head coach. If the Asst. Coach is the closer then the head coach is completely useless. You can't hide a head coach in recruiting. That's the issue.
Even if he pulls a rabbit out of his hat this year why does anyone tink it is repeatable. He could assemble a mid major all star team and get a good draw and make it to the elite eight but that is the ceiling if and only if he can continue to come back from double digit deficits and throw in a couple of Hail Mary shots. Is that what everyone wants and expects. I expect to be at a level similar to Duke which is always in discussion for a 1 or 2 seed with a legitimate chance to get to the final four.
