3. Crawford was an elite bucket getter in the NBA. He will do wonders coaching up the guys we have on the offensive side of the ball. I've always thought the best version of Jasper Johnson was Jamal Crawford or Lou Williams.

4. Jamal Crawford will have recruiting juice for the reasons above. Kids will recognize his highlights. Kids will want to learn from him.

People keep asking "What's the connection?" Or "Why would Crawford want to come here?"

Crawford is an assistant for a high school team. It stands to reason he wants to coach basketball. I think most people with aspirations would rather be an assistant at a Power 5 college than a high school--even their alma matter.

Crawford also has that connection to Stokes. And if he's wanting to move up, leveraging that connection makes a lot of sense.

Arizona starts 2 freshmen and Duke has several in their rotation. If u can play, u can play. We just need to sign talent.

pope and crawford both played hs in washington.

Isn't a wall of excuses we have had freak accidents and still won some games in the tourney. I'm a believer of three strikes your out. First year was a success, this year we had injuries and lack of pg. Its basically like starting over. We had zero players back from cal.

Well, it's hard to win in the 2027 tournament when the 2026 one is going on. This is March 26th 2026 and the conversations are going to be about these things, we can't discuss his wining or losing of games that aren't even scheduled yet...

I think people automatically **** on anything remotely positive right now. This could actually be a big deal if it happens. Crawford has been a mentor to Stokes since he went to Rainier. We haven't heard about Stokes doing stupid stuff since then, have we? Nope.
I'm not sure how good of a coach Crawford is or could be but I know he knows ball and fundamentals. If he can teach our guys how to at least dribble, that's an improvement over the last guys. And if he does stick around until his son graduates, look out. JJ is legit. And so is Stokes. That kid is a force of nature. You get him and next season starts looking better. I think he'll play wherever he goes. I think Peterson and Brown slipping in the draft due to sitting games will show the next guys you'd better play.

Unless it’s Pope getting fired then there’s absolutely nothing that will change the perception. You can’t unring that bell. We all saw Pope fall apart this year. Can’t unsee that and most of us will never trust him again.
