That run is 100% on Pope. JJ can’t play in this game. Their identity if forcing turns, JJ is a walking turnover machine. Should have called time out the moment he turned the first over at half court. Stupid.

Mark Pope's optimism in his players is part of his coaching problem. Pitino never would have played Johnson in the game.

I remember when his star freshman Rodrick Rhodes was struggling in the final four against Michigan. Pitino pulled him and cut his minutes down to 14 minutes.
