I’ll probably get hammered for this, and maybe it’s premature, but it doesn’t feel like we peak as well for NCAAs these past couple of years. As the team got more involved in freestyle with better results maybe.
You are 100% correct. Narratives are getting changed and next year will be a lot closer than many thought just a couple weeks ago.

This would've been good sarcasm without everything before "but."

We won 6 of 8 in the semis = 75%.

Yeah, that's probably down a little from the around 80% historically but holy hell we just had 8 national semifinalists and won 3/4 of those matches.

If that's a down year ...

Here is the naughty list: (team point deductions)

Iowa - Ferrari headgear
NC State - Singleton
Oklahoma State - Lockett and Swiderski
Penn - Wasilewski
Stanford - headgear Knox
Was Bailey actually for Iowa he threw his headgear in the garbage can that was in the tunnel and Angel watched him do it and dinged him

Those damn upper weights eh Magic Man? Keep focused on everything under 165, because that's all you got bud.
They have a great heavyweight coming in but definitely need to fill 174 and 184 long term. Michael White might be one of them. Kid has jumped levels lately. They definitely have more holes to fill than PSU but are doing a great job at it. Will be interesting to see if kids transfer out that can’t make the lineup or stick around. They are going to have a major logjam at 125-157 going forward. No different than PSU in the middle weights but Cael has managed it perfectly. Let’s see if DT can as well

The stalling non-calls and calls need to be reviewed and rectified. Any wrestler who is allowed to go 6:30 without taking a meaningful shot should have multiple passivity/stall calls and penalty points. The hypocrisy of begging for stall calls in the last 30 seconds after being a baked potato for 6:30 is obscene.

No it won’t. Maybe in 2 years but next year won’t be close. PSU will be better next year I think
