This team doesn’t have a sense of urgency.
I am getting last-season Billy Gillispie-coached vibes. Same "dead man walking" feel and a team that appears discombobulated.
That team finished with a 22-14 record and lost early in the SEC Tournament. Although I think this team doesn't slip to the NIT like that team, there is a similar hopelessness to the season with many wanting to just get it done with (including the coach and players).

Losing this game, to the last place team in the first game of the SECT would be worse than losing to Oakland or St. Peters
Playing on Wednesday is embarrassing, losing to the 16 seed in the SEC tournament would be something Pope just couldn’t recover from.
LSU is very very bad team, and we have struggled both games against them. We can't accept this as fans.
