It's gonna take a HUGE effort to beat him at natty. The kid now knows he belongs and he's riding high on confidence. I didn't do it till now.... he's my favorite to get it done.

That early stall call was huge, served notice to Taylor he wasn’t going to be able to stall the whole match. Also loved Duke stuffing Taylor’s head hard into the mat from on top. PJ was hunting and taking no prisoners.

That was an insane effort by PJ! He just didn't stop. That was P.J. Duke in Nolf/Mesenbrink/Barr mode, which is terrifying for anyone who is unfortunate enough to have to wrestle him! That was just incredible!

The path Duke had was as tough as possible and he dominated. Majoring Cannon, beating Webster, and majoring Taylor in a row is just next level. I don’t think anyone is going to seriously challenge him at nationals if he continues wrestling like this

Period 1:
It's time to crank the intensity up a bit. Here comes Mitch! Circling, tying up & hand fighting. Mesenbrink shoots & gets a leg, then finishes the TD in 12-sec, 3-0. Caliendo fights for the escape, 3-1. Mesenbrink shoots, but Caliendo works to a front headlock. Stalemate & restart. Mesenbrink shoots a double. Caliendo sprawls back. Stalemate & restart. Tying up again. Mesenbrink shoots & gets to a leg, but Caliendo fights him off. Tying up in the center. Caliendo with a half shot. He drives forward, but Mesenbrink blocks him off. Mesenbrink shoots, but Caliendo kicks free. Mesenbrink reaches again, but no luck. Mesenbrink shoots again, but can't get there, as Caliendo works into a front headlock. Stalemate & restart. Mesenbrink shoots & gets a leg, then finishes another TD ,6-1. Caliendo turns & gets an escape, 6-2. Mesenbrink shoots & gets to a leg, but Caliendo fights out of it & locks around the head. Stalemate & restart. Mesenbrink shoots, but no luck, then time expires. 6-2 Mesenbrink, +25-sec RT

Period 2:
Mesenbrink takes down. He works to his feet, turns & gets the escape, 7-2. Caliendo shoots, but can't get to the leg. Mesenbrink shoots a sweet duck & finishes another TD, 10-2. Mesenbrink gets Caliendo bellied out. Caliendo works back to his base for a moment, then Mesenbrink breaks him down again. Mesenbrink goes over 1-min of riding time. Caliendo can't get off his belly. Mesenbrink is smothering him from top. Mesenbrink goes over 90-sec of riding time. Caliendo is still on his belly. Mesenbrink rides out the period. 11-2 Mesenbrink, +1:51 RT

Period 3:
Caliendo takes down.. He works to his feet. Mesenbrink picks him up. Caliendo turns & gets a leg, but they go out of bounds, restart. Caliendo is still down. Mesenbrink goes over 2-min of RT. Caliendo gets an escape, 11-3. Caliendo shoots & gets in deep on a leg. Mesenbrink grabs an ankle. Stopped for potentially dangerous. Mesenbrink shoots, but can't get there. Stalemate & restart. Mesenbrink comes forward. Caliendo drops to a leg. Mesenbrink gets a leg too. They're scrambling. Mesenbrink has riding time locked up. Mesenbrink elevates & is in deep on a leg now. Caliendo squares up & it's another stalemate & restart. Caliendo tries a duck, but Mesenbrink stays squared up. Mesenbrink snaps & tries to come behind, but no luck. Mesenbrink shoots, but Caliendo blocks him off & time expires. Mesenbrink adds a riding time point for the 12-3 major decision. And his bonus streak continues...

Duke is gonna be the 1, and Shapiro's performance wouldn't have changed that.

Shapiro lost in the EIWA finals.

2 and 3 will be Taylor and Larkin, in whichever order.

4-5-6 will likely be some combo of Shapiro, Rope-a-dope (B12 finalist), and Watters (3rd at B12s). I'm guessing in that order. Cardenas might slip in there if he wins ACCs, but behind Rope-a-dope due to H2H.
