Probably why you shouldn’t schedule Le Moyne as a tuneup series right before ACC play
I think you play the percentages given you have 18 innings tomorrow. You go to McDuffie and Marty and lose 6-4 and you are scrambling in the pen tomorrow.
It’s an impossible situation to predict and I’ve never seen somebody actually do it, but we could have gotten another run last inning if Hynek ran through second base, beat the throw and just let them get him out afterwards. Wouldn’t have mattered in this game but I’ve always wanted to see somebody pull it off.
I think it was ECU that attempted it against us.. May have been someone else but it happened this year.

While this has been a brutal watch, I remember us losing our first two ACC series against Stanford and Louisville last year, and we looked horrible doing it. That team finished the regular season as the number one team in the the country. We absolutely have a lot to work on, but no one should be even close to giving up on this team.

Colby..sorry for my unintentional tone. Likely my frustration with this egg (and Caleb’s freak injury ending our basketball season) coming out in how I typed. My position was that, at 5-0, you go to lesser established arms in the pen. Your post pointed to the 1-0 score and it seemed you were wanting a pitching change there. I agree they stayed with DeCaro, who really dint control much, a little too long. But I also admit that some of the contact in the 3rd was pretty light. I guess Jason had earned the chance to get out of that jam. He simply didn’t. And when it became 5-0 I think Forbes made the correct calls to the pen.
You’re good, yeah I thought we probably should have went to chewy against the LH lineup early.. but the dugout knows when a deep BP guy goes in there’s a bit of conceding going on. It is what it is, just want to see a little more fight from the guys.
