That was the rumor on Boogie also, and the Harrison Twins/Randle, people said PJ Washington was a head case, Rob Dillingham was supposedly selfish and a ball stopper, etc.

Hell Kobe and MJ were supposedly awful to play with because of their attitudes towards others and frustration for bad play.

But, people want to play with greatness. And if you are winning and putting up numbers, etc., none of that stuff typically matters.

There will be plenty of solid college players who will know that NBA scouts will be in the building and at practice every day to watch Stokes, and it will give them a chance to shine as well.

Just my opinion.

seriously did he go pg halfway through? Of course I’m being a little funny but I’m completely serious at the same time. I was proud for like ten minutes. How can Pope be so corny and awkward.

Take anybody’s religion or whatever you want to call it out of it. If you are going to say mother effer when you’re mad and not the real thing what’s the point? No wonder the refs don’t respect him. They might get a pg word said to them.

I am not. I listened so many times I can't count them. And it was reported to be what he said. He was talking to Mitch so I kind of get it but it makes him look odd.

Add a big who can actually dunk and score tough layups, or even easy layups and we would have a pretty good team next season. MM should have a lot better hands next season if he will put in the work and that will help him and us as well. We’ve missed way too many easy layups and four shots this season and it’s cost us probably five plus games. I think you’re absolutely right with a new point, Stokes and that would be a heck of a start. Here’s hoping.

Honestly, I don’t disagree with anything you said. I was just looking at the roster and thinking about building a roster with that group as a core.

If Jelavic could get stronger in the offseason, I’m not sure why Pope wouldn’t like him occasionally at the 5…gives him a legit perimeter threat at the top of the key.

Stokes is physically mature. The guy is a tank that can dribble shoot pass at a high level. He’s basically LeBron light.

Ik a lot on here aren’t big on him and don’t think he’s in that category. We will all get to see next season. Hopefully he’s a cat and not at Kansas putting up 25 10 10.

Yeah , I’m certainly not saying we shouldn’t take him . Its not like we have a great team coming back and are worried about upsetting the chemistry,lol.

We need talent.

Stokes is a Hell of a player. Stokes, Chandler, MM, Kam....we would need to get a stud PG in the portal(I am all for Lowe coming back but we can't just count on him), Need another Post/PF upgrade over BG. Jelly as a sub, Noah deep bench.

Always works both ways. At a dominant school you can cash in on the tradition. At a dumpster fire you can come in and be the savior. Counts double for a blue blood that’s been down for a while.

.. and who he was talking to is up for interpretation, could be Mitch, Pope or JMI.

I would love to have seen Mo and Jelavic get time at the 5, but apparently Pope felt otherwise. Maybe it looked bad in practice, who knows. Seems like either one could’ve been a part of some fun lineups. Although I think Kam Williams was a key part of a lineup that played small like that.

On that note, and on the subject of next year’s roster, I really hope we get Kam back for another season.

We know the answer. His highest rated recruit Moreno and his most beloved Garrison. Not taking away from them.

I agree. I do like what Mo gives us at the four, though I would like it more of he could shoot better than my 10 year old niece. I think if we got a couple of stars, Kam and Jelly would ve great depth pieces. CC and MM will take a jump next season. Make those guys your 3rd and 4th options, and you'll have a contender
