Bluder and now Jensen are steadfast believers in not fouling at the end of quarters, especially in the first half. No amount of evidence will change their minds.

Well she has like a .750 win percentage and beat 3 ranked teams last week. I donno why Iowa didn't do a legit coaching search.

When you’ve been “coached” or instructed to force the ball into the post every possession this is gonna happen. It’s like as soon as they cross half court it’s all about throwing it into the paint.
Iowa's a nationality relevant program that could have hired an experienced HC.

Regarding your comment about "3 ranked teams", that HC managed to blow a 17 point lead in less than 3 minutes.

Everyone thought Jan was the logical choice, including myself. Not so sure now. Jennie Baranzcyk would have been the sure hire.

So determined to get that perfect pass down low. It's as if they think they get extra points for a thread the needle bounce pass. Maddening.
Super seniors are not leaders. Stremlow, Houston, CC seem to have a little fire in their belly. Ava needs to go at Betts, maybe get some calls. On defense, they have to help on Betts down low, guard sagging down to slap at the ball and disrupt her or keep her out at the arc.
This. For a 6th year senior she has NO idea how to shoot a layup, how to drive without turning the ball over, and she the worst passer of all the guards. Once again Deal is getting the 1 minute in and back out from Jan while Kylie has a coupe of unforced air ball turnover horrid passes, and a couple of reverse layups that never even hit the rim. I cringe every time she has the ball in her hands. Oh, and Rice just blew by our "best defender" for another layup.....

This isn't just an Iowa issue.
We're way outgunned here, UCLA is just better at every position with blue chippers all over. We gotta take advantage of every opportunity like FTs and wide open bunnies. Deal looks like a deer in headlights, I think playing at home on such a big stage is messing with her head.
KF (and I think she is great Hawkeye) was running around like her hair was on fire and she could not find a water hose. AH has not shown up, so.
Heiden is frequently open for a FT line jumper. Iowa needs her to hit that consistently over the next few years.
UCLA is an easy final 4 team
Jan would have to actually leave her in for a few minutes at a time......
