*****Maryland vs Iowa Game Thread*****

20 point lead that should be 30.

[HawksRule25]

Pulling away again

[Palmerhawk]

We miss layups cuz we small.

[HawksRule25]

Manyawu steal and jam! He has been energetic this 2nd half!

[Ozzie89]

My god McCollum is gonna build a machine here

[2D]

Maybe Cam heard my insult and took it as a personal challenge

[Hawksfor3]

My god McCollum is gonna build a machine here

He said things are in their infancy right now, but making positive steps, trending in the right direction.

Feel like it was Koch in the first half, Manyawu in the 2nd.

Student seating has been a problem for decades. This year they put more student seats near the south baseline. It can hold up to 200 students. Not sure how its working out. Here's a pic I found:

Weak attempt. Yes this has been a problem for decades and nothing is ever changed. Can't be that difficult to figure out.

[Hawksfor3]

Have to do better at the line. 4-8.

[Hawkangler]

Great defense, efficient offense and the crowd is into it. Fun to watch.

[Hawksfor3]

Glad we played Sparty first. Don't see them again in conference play.

[LetsGoHawks83]

LOL. Just w players fighting for the ball. Weak a$$ foul call

[Doctor Hawktagonapus]

Automatic foul any time Payne touches the ball...

[BubsFinn]

Reward the offensive player for going out of control. That wasn't a foul.

[LetsGoHawks83]

EFFF that call.

Rewarding flailing around and falling out of control

[Hawksfor3]

Alvaro 3 points, 1 reb in 8 min. SMH.

[Ozzie89]

What a coaching clinic

[HawksRule25]

Manyawu back in and another jam!

[LetsGoHawks83]

Guess the refs got the memo that Payne MUST shoot 20 FTs a game.

What a F*cking joke

[kwik44]

Insanely good team basketball. Iowa's going to learn from MSU & come back stronger.

[HawksRule25]

Alvaro 3 points, 1 reb in 8 min. SMH.

And 4 fouls. Manyawu picking up the slack.

Just telling my buddies is that we’d be absolutely giddy if Fran was doing this to a Buzz Williams team.

It almost feels like we expected to beat Maryland & just another Saturday afternoon. Incredible.

[Hawksfor3]

Take the whistle from Selcz.

[HawksRule25]

Manyawu another steal and takes it in for the layup. Impressive.

[LetsGoHawks83]

No automatic FTs for our bigs inside... weird

[Anon1750875978]

This team make a layup today???

It's like I'm watching the WNBA.

Road wins gonna be hard to get.

[HawksRule25]

Another good pass from Manyawu to Stirts who takes the hit and scores. Hawks up 24!

[Ty7]

[Hawksfor3]

Rough for Howard today. 0 points, 2 rebs.

Seems to work just fine for the women's game.

[HawksRule25]

Rough for Howard today. 0 points, 2 rebs.

2 steals, good defense and only has missed 1 shot.

[Hawksfor3]

[LetsGoHawks83]

Sage is going to be really good too

[QChawks]

[wilson reborn]

The passing with this team is really impressive.

[Hawksfor3]

I'm not too worried about individual scoring. There will be inconsistencies. But the FT shooting needs to improve. 56% this game.

[2D]

I think today shows that the Hawks have a lot of potential going forward. Need to believe in Ben and his plan.

[Doctor Hawktagonapus]

Foul every single time MD is in the paint.

[LetsGoHawks83]

These bailout calls for Maryland are really getting irritating...
