Refs have swallowed their whisles in this game. Both teams playing pretty clean but we have missed every TV timeout by 2 minutes.
UNC has not attempted a post feed once in this game. Curious if this is just us playing against the NDPOY or if we are switching offenses that drastically this year according to personnel?
I don’t hate it. 3 back to back to back possessions of lay-ups offensively. Don’t think they’re ready for it defensively yet though. Toomey is gassed and needed the TO right here.
Defense really eroded in Q3. conceding layups by the handful.
UCLA hits 9 straight FGs and leads 58-46 heading into the 4Q. Need one more push to get back into the game. UCLA 8-0 run last 3 minutes of quarter.
we put together 27 minutes of really good basketball and will build on that- would be nice to hit a few shots early in the quarter and put some more pressure back on them.

there's a level of defense and rebounding that a player can bring where it makes it okay to play 4-on-5 on offense... indya is playing jump rope with that line. certainly she should not be taking threes off the dribble.
Yeah that 3rd quarter was a lot of open misses. Feel like we could have gotten better shots, but you can’t miss every open shot and expect to stay in the game.

Agreed. Need to find a way to manufacture easier baskets. It's all 3's and tough mid range pull ups. UCLA broke the game open on a long string of layups. Tough to keep contact that way.
This is a garbage take. These girls are missing shots they are more than capable of make. Nivar is just not a good shooter (another Utsby). I think you have to find to time for Jordan
Why can't this team make layups? There's a square on the backboard to help.
Ustby shot 34% from 3 last year as a post player. Nivar shot 21% As a perimeter player. Not in the same ballpark. But I agree with your overall point.
Believe they were already on a 6-0 run when that lineup went in the game.

When Kiki Rice decides to be an offensive threat 100% of the time, this UCLA team takes it to a completely different level. If younger Betts is that good- yikes

Frustrating game. We needed to shoot 3s well to stay in the game because of our size disadvantage. UCLA‘s roster of 12 features 8 grads/seniors and those 8 have scored all of UCLA’s points.
Best team we will play in the regular season but we have got to get better offense. Nivar does not need to take the most shots.
