Consistent what I was told after being at two practices.

Spoke with Braeden and Aaron after one practice. Both are focused and ready to compete at the 141 pound weight class.
Let's hope each have their respective issues resolved. Sounds like it. Aaron has been hurt.....super frustrating. Braeden, wildly inconsistent.

A couple of other observatons:

1. Ono is listed as having Junior eligibility.

2. Just 3 seniors on the roster.
Interesting note about Ono having Junior eligibility, it has been mentioned/rumored a few times that Ono has one year to compete but if that's true, that would mean his 5 year window is closing so how can he be able to redshirt this year? The option to redshirt would mean he does in fact have Junior eligibility and since he has never used any of his 4 years of competition eligibility, he should be able to compete for two years.

Still haven't heard he was awarded 2 years yet. I'm not reading to much into him being listed as a JR

He was awesome at getting to legs on anyone. He had some issues finishing quickly. If he sures that up he can be dangerous
Those go hand in hand. Some of his shots seemed to be intended to create a scramble. Probably less well set up.

If he works setups and shot selection, he's a problem. He beat Mendez 2x in 2023, so why not now?

This site should allow ‘praying hands emoji’ for a better response.

I'm a big Nagao fan but he ain't beating Mendez at this point. That ship has sailed. I just want to see him in the mix for a high podium finish.

It always made sense to me that they would try to preserve Davis' RS. If Nagoa is struggling or gets injured, then they will revisit the decision.
I like Davis as a wrestler but he still loses his balance way too much on his feet and does some pretty crazy moves that sometimes cost him!
