One of the things I take away from these two games is Dioubate could be All SEC if he’ll stop playing on the perimeter so much and attack the rim. Could be a double double machine if he can stay out of foul trouble.

You can’t take too much from any 1 game. We are never as Good (Purdue) or as Bad (Georgetown) as any one game makes us look. Obviously shows us what we must improve on to contend but it will be 2 months before we have an actual feel for our ceiling this year. Over reacting to the good or the bad games makes a fool of anyone. Time will tell what we really have. Healthy though I’m excited about this team.

This loss isn’t a useful loss. It’s embarrassing as hell though. No effort or energy. But most scary is our lack of athleticism.

I don't believe in "good" or "useful" losses.
It's just something fans tell themselves afterwards to feel better. Losing always sucks.
You can learn the same lessons from a "too close for comfort" win.

I’m going to chalk this game up as not having your top two point guards leads to forcing shots and standing around which equals losing. The defense was pretty bad too, free throw shooting was atrocious. This loss will be what we need when facing adversity later on this season.
