Should be, after what I've watched today. Truth is the media will want to sell a ranked matchup between Iowa and Oregon. Two ranked teams get better numbers.

I'll say ranked #21.

Don’t count on it. The view continues in the college football universe that Iowa has no offense. When so many of Iowa’s points come from special teams and defense, that’s a hard perception to shake.

I predict we show up in “Also Receiving Votes”

Hawks do not get a lot of respect from this old farts perspective. I actually hope we stay among those "getting votes" until AFTER the Oregon game, when the Ducks find out what Kinnick is like!

A top five defense and I see the team is ranked 52nd in scoring which is the main offensive metric and very good special teams should put Iowa in the top 20-25.

Wetjen is turning short passes into big gains and RVZ had a very good twisting catch yesterday on a great throw.

And Danielson said he knows Iowa fans have been calling for that balanced offense for years. Danielson has played and been around for a long time. He has no ties of any kind to Iowa, but he said Iowa should have beaten Indiana, and that Iowa is one go-to WR from being a great football team. He said maybe Wetjen could be that guy. A great option, but I also think Vander Zee and Dayton Howard are legit threats. I hope Howard is 100% soon so he'll be full go for Oregon in two weeks. And yesterday you also saw that receivers don't have to "get open." Just run down the field and have the QB deliver the ball and go get it. That's exactly how Vander Zee ended up with that long TD reception. It ain't THAT hard. Iowa has the guys who can do it. With two weeks to get ready for an Oregon team that slogged by Wisconsin 21-7, these Hawkeyes have everything to play for.

Nebraska was ranked. Why? Illinois was ranked after getting demolished 63-10 by an Indiana team Iowa had on the ropes. And Illinois was destroyed by Washington yesterday, giving up 42 more points. If Iowa isn't ranked this week, that would be gross malfeasance, plain and simple. Not that it matters.
