It is a problem. First and goal with great momentum we should’ve gotten a TD on this drive. Neb has the ball before and after halftime…Our red zone offense just so poor we just can never get a touchdown it seems like
First and goal from the 10 is the hardest to score a touchdown on, I would think. It is a problem. First and goal with great momentum we should’ve gotten a TD on this drive. Neb has the ball before and after halftime…
Starting to agree more and more. Can only disagree with whether we can turn it around.
What is with the doom-and-gloomerism. It's going to be a 1-point game at the half and we've held them to 1 score. The D did not come to tackle today and the O is limited to FGs. Barring a huge halftime speech and adjustments, this one’s going to get away from us.
Our defense is better than it started but still giving up big plays. Nebraska missed an easy field goal. Turnover. And Nebraska didn’t score a touchdown last week. But your point is largely not unfair. What is with the doom-and-gloomerism. It's going to be a 1-point game at the half and we've held them to 1 score.
It was at Penn State against us!!!How does that not count as a fumbled fair catch if our guy was blocked into the returner?
Yeah, I was very confused by that play. Did we recover? It was at Penn State against us!!!
NU is right where they want to be. Need for Stone to make a few more plays in the 2nd half. Hard to punch it in for a TD in the red zone if the defense doesn’t feel like our passing offense can keep them honest. This game is very winnable with a few tweaks and breaks in the 2nd half. The D did not come to tackle today and the O is limited to FGs. Barring a huge halftime speech and adjustments, this one’s going to get away from us.
Disagree.Getting out coached as well.
I haven’t seen this many missed tackles by our D in a long while. Also it’s worrisome that Fussell seemed concussed, and with Adeyi a pre-game scratch, our secondary is suddenly thin. And our offense playcalling continues to be a head scratcher. Let’s see what the second half has in store. Feels like another Cardiac Cats finish coming up.Well our D has played horrendous by their standards, by far the worst since Tulane, so it’s a positive that we’re only down 1. It is proving to be very difficult to score TDs so something needs to change for us to flip this game. At least one explosion play on O and one on D (I.e. a turnover in plus territory or a pick six to give us a non offensive TD).
Somebody is gonna need to articulate the issues with playcalling to me. Seems like some around here will never be happy. Always run on first, we’re too boring and predictable. Dont run on first sometimes, we don’t like that either.I haven’t seen this many missed tackles by our D in a long while. But that’s not coaching. We were gashed twice before that too.Special teams coverage units have been sub par all year. That needs to be addressed.
Do you put anything on the execution of the playera? Special teams have been an issue all year and I’ve said I don’t think we have the right guy coaching those units. That’s an isolated issue. But that’s not coaching. We were gashed twice before that too.
Did you see the third and 16 right before the turnover? We had no one on the receiver.
That’s who he is. His margin for error is very small. Just not that talented.Stone has been terrible. Is he still hurt?
God he's missing some basic throws.Stone has been terrible. Is he still hurt?
When our guys are noticeably yards away from their offensive player on multiple plays, and that’s not the case in reverse, I tend to blame our coaches.Do you put anything on the execution of the playera? Severely out coached starting in the locker room before the game apparently.Disagree.
LOL, you don’t think that has anything to do with overall level of athelticism and talent? When our guys are noticeably yards away from their offensive player on multiple plays, and that’s not the case in reverse, I tend to blame our coaches.
