The wifey has been on a Angel Studios kick today. I enjoyed the Phil Robertson bio-flick “The Blind”. Now we are watching some horse breeding/racing nonsense.

I told her I was about ready for some good ol’ shoot ‘em up violence with a generous helping of T&A. She rolled her eyes.

Wednesday, season 2. Good stuff through 6 1/2 episodes. Watched KAOS, it was pretty good but got cancelled after just one season without tying up loose ends. Getting ready for new seasons of GenV, Only Murders in the Building, and of course, Futurama.

Are the Alien movies prerequisite watching before Alien Earth?

Not necessarily. It takes place a couple years before Alien. There are definitely some easter eggs and things like the corporations you wouldn't understand but I think you could watch it without having seen the movies.

The Runarounds is a really fun show from the guys that made Outer Banks (it’s way better than OB). It’s about an up & coming high school band based in Wilmington. Episode 5 or 6 has the band going to watch Dex Romweber (CHHS). Lots of Carolina and Chapel Hill references.

The Runarounds - Season 1 on Prime Video

Catching up on a ton of stuff, including Fallout, Lincoln Lawyer, Ballard, and some British murder mystery shows on Prime.
My problem is I tend to rewatch stuff, putting me further behind on new stuff. For some reason I decided to rewatch Cowboy Bebop (original not live action) for millionth time.

I'm hoping there is another confrontation between the Xenomorphs and T. Ocellus (the eye).

iIt would be crazy if the eye ended up invading the Xenomorph and could control its body. That kind of intelligence on a Xenomorph!?

I finished rewatching Mr Robot today. I completely forgot how it ended. Great series and one of my top 3 favorites of all time.

i feel you on rewatching stuff. One reason i do it is the memories feelings pure nostalgia that the shows bring me.
Watching Wings remind me of my late first stepfather and News Radio brings me back to a simpler time (for me). I’ll find myself watching old Adult Swim content from early 2000’s relieving my college days. And well i still enjoy a good bong rip from time
to time while watching and that helps bring me back to the good ol’ days haha

Alien Earth. As Ripley said in an interview, "I can't believe it's television, frankly"

Show is so damn good

Acapulco on Apple TV

It reminds me of Benidorm not as funny but still good. Benidorm is one of my favorites

I just finished Senna this weekend. It had been on my list since it released. Finally got around to watching it. It was pretty good.
Next up in my queue are Terminal List Dark Wolf, Chief of War and then the new season of Slow Horses. Then maybe Black Rabbit on Netflix.

Pretty good last episode. Very interesting that the Xenomorphs are really just a side plot of sorts in this series.
I may need to watch it again. Maybe I had too high expectations going in but I thought while there was some good action it was one of the weaker episodes.

was getting down with Fantasy Island last night watched about 10 of them.

"My dear guests, I am Mr. Roarke, your host. Welcome to Fantasy Island!!"

On each episode, there was always a light fantasy and a serious/sinister fantasy.

I loved how after he said the above welcome and raised a glass in toast, he would often give a serious/concerned glance towards the guy with the serious fantasy, as if to say, "I don't think you have any idea what you're in for with this fantasy of yours."

I finally finished season 5 of Kojak. I’m searching for my next victim. Prime Video is pushing at me Columbo, The Rockford Files, and McCloud, but I don’t want to get into another 5-8 season series right now. I’m thinking about a western - probably Wanted Dead or Alive (Steve McQueen) because it’s only 3 seasons and half hour episodes. I’ve already done Maverick, Have Gun Will Travel, Bat Masterson, Wyatt Earp, and a few others.

Just finished season 5 of Fargo. I didn't want to like that show, but it drew me in unexpectedly.

I know what people mean about rewatching shows. I find old faves like Ted Lasso to be soothing. I've watched all seasons of Breaking Bad at least twice since it originally aired. Not soothing but just good TV.

Just finished Normal People on Hulu. Pretty emotional series that makes your heart ache at times. Definitely worth the watch.
I’m also 6 episodes into Chief of War. Not too bad. I love Hawaii, so I like the series if not for the location/setting alone. Story is interesting, writing and acting is decent. Scenery and locations are awesome.

Most of Chief of War was shot in New Zealand.

I thought Black Rabbit was really good. Bateman has a high standard, so if you're always comparing to some of his top work, you may not have liked it, but overall it's really good for what's mostly coming from Netflix these days.
