Hype is for real and DR throws himself on the Heisman stage.
Defense gets to Sorsby and causes turnovers.
D line proves for real and we get to speculate again until the Michigan test.

It started at 51.5 and is up to 53.5. I feeling it'll be a shootout. Cinci knows how to score. I think our Offense is going to surprise a lot of people and put up a lot of points with Holgo at the Helm and a solid O line.
Our O-Line is still unproven. They might be "improved", but by how much? They might think they are solid since they don't have to go against Ty and Nash in practice anymore. We'll know once they get smacked in the mouth. Still waiting for that group to prove me wrong.

Stop me if you've seen this movie already: We will get out to an early lead, blow several opportunities to extend the lead, and then lose in the last couple of minutes or in OT on a really dumb mistake.

Overtime is the last thing we want.

I have no idea, it a little uneasing the turner is a or with gunner, nothing against the young man but if he ends up at left tackle we’re in for a long ugly season, and concerns about the d line. Too many ors on the kickers I sure don’t want Tristian to leave end up in Iowa and he beats us several times with his kicking , I’m concerned about the punter he’s young it’s scary we don’t have a seasoned backup in case Archie is a bust. I hate to be a pessimist but we have a lot of holes to fill unanswered questions. And again we needed an Akron or some small school to work out the bugs and have Cincy game two. I hope we win but I don’t get the feeling of a guaranteed win

Eh, I'll disagree here a little bit. Hohl and Cunanen are better kickers than Alvano. Alvano also seems to always be hurt, so is what it is. He had a shot and didn't perform. I don't care that he is a Nebraska kid. I get your unease with Turner, but I think Rhule always seems to try and create goodwill with the older guys. Yes, Jeudy got a blackshirt and his name atop the depth chart, but we all know that RVP is the real man in the middle.

I know I am going to put money on NU tomorrow night. But something about this game just keeps bugging me.

Battered fan syndrome. I have just come to expect close games and NU not executing when it matters. Hope they change that narrative this year.
Right???

It is just so lame losing to or playing close games against lame *** teams. Teams we used to laugh at and now we have to pretend like they are tough teams.

Just go out and win this game by 17 and set a tone.

A Nebraska loss in this game would tear my heart apart and ruin my enjoyment of college football for quite awhile. I don't know if I could trust anything the coaches or players would tell us about how great everything is progressing with this team going forward.

A loss tomorrow night on national TV would do serious damage to our recruiting and be a major embarrassment to the school, state and the BIG. A loss would also help conference coaches get after some of our recruits, get inside their heads, get them wondering if Nebraska is the right place for them after all.

This game is really about Matt Rhule doing his job and finishing it and putting and exclamation point next to it not a question mark. No more talk talk is cheap, time to shut people up and get this program moving again. jmo

I agree with this. I have been a Rhule supporter. Give him his chance for his 3rd year magic. But if they lose tomorrow night I don’t think there is anyway of bouncing back from that. Opinions change and so will mine in terms of support for Rhule.

I agree, a loss Thursday would be devastating to the psyche of the players, fans and program.

By Friday morning, we'd have to be doing Wellness checks on fans like BigRedMax. lol

Keep this in mind.. A Nebraska loss is exactly what ESPN wants. They would love to see us lose on this stage. It's a little scary to think how certain people could really mess with a sideline.

100000% agree!

I am not a huge Rhule fan but I also don't dislike him. But a loss here, no matter how the loss happens, will leave a very bad taste.

Especially with the next 2 games being super lame and then maybe starting the season 2-2?
