What would be the motive for Tarboro not playing North Edgecombe? That is a cross County Rivalry. If they get remove maybe they replace them with a good quality opponent.
It's definitely not a rivalry lol. And for the motive, it's pretty much impossible to get motivated for playing North edgecombe because it always ends in a running clock. We beat them by 33 last year that's one of the smallest victories we've had over them in the last 15 years. I believe I speak for most of the tarboro fans in saying we should have dropped them YEARS ago.
If North Edgecombe could field the teams they had in the 90s vs Tarboro today. The match ups would be very interesting to the Community.
No doubt. North looks to be going spread now but I still don't think they'll do anything with Tarboro.
I agree with you about dropping N. Edgecombe. Generally, I think school officials like those in county match ups to reduce travel times and with the hope they bring in good gate receipts for the home team. But I doubt many Vikes fans get excited for this game as the Warriors have not been good for years. At least not good against the Vikings. Blow outs and running clocks are not fun. Though, some fans may like that in terms of keeping their blood pressure and stress levels low! But it is a shame that N. Edgecombe can no longer keep up with the Vikes and are nothing like they were under Coach Cobb. Even the SW Edgecombe games are not that great. Though, they are probably a bit more competitive. It would be better if the Vikes could schedule the likes of S. Nash and Nash Central for their out of conference games.
For awhile the sw games were really good. But ever since they went to their new coach they have struggled mightily. Tarboro played Nash central for many years but that series ended in 2016. I'd love to get Southern Nash back in the schedule those games were epic.

I don’t disagree with you about schedules only. Usually Ms Deana will do schedules on the home page. This was title of thread. I also care about other classifications, I am truly a 4A guy, going to get more interested in 3A since my son is now a 3A coach.
To the others that are commenting, I understand everyone wanting to comment on their teams. All I will ask is keep it civil.
Yea I keep clicking on this thread to see more schedules and all I see is daily comments about how north edgecomb stinks

This was for any conference to post their schedule and you don't have to apologize. Your comments all came after your schedule was posted and it was easy thereafter to get led away from the intentions of the thread. I did fi a thread dedicated to Tarboro & N.Edgecombe if you want to use it.
I posted your tarboro schedule so don't know how it was just an smc or northwest thread. Don't get mad because nobody cares about the boring east.
That's how I feel about the West because it's always mount airy or East Surry representing every year
